Hey Primal Pack!
While working on a new batch of conversions I wanted to tested an AI interpolation on a 24fps animation. As you can see there is def a difference between 24 and 60, so I'll be focusing more on making 60fps the standard, bringing 24/30 scenes up to "speed".
Hopefully this is also a good indication of why 60 is the sweet spot for the high end as well. It's really hard to tell the difference between 60 and 120 and in some cases going to 120 brings back in an uncanny or "fake" feeling. I think the new Avatar movie is a good example of that. Some of the scenes in there are 120 and I could feel the "ramp up" when those scenes hit. They felt more like I was watching a video game cut scene than a movie.
Anyway, since the gif is technically at 20fps it makes it harder to see the difference, so I've attached the video that shows the difference better.
