5/10/2025 Progress Update: Burnout and Progress Continues!

Hello Meerkats!

I'm going to begin this progress update by saying I am burnt the hell out. Making progress on the game has been very difficult to do, and sections that would've taken me a few minutes are taking me hours. It really is a pain to deal with, and I've been writing significantly less than usual. I hope you all understand. I've been doing my best to write despite that. I've still written a little over 21k words since the last update, and I'm trying not to slow down too much.

Also, the update will probably be split into two parts again. I know, it's not optimal, but otherwise the update would be far too large. I'm planning on there being four main variants for this shopping trip, depending on who you decide to go with: Ethan's mom, Ethan's mom & Lily, Samantha, and finally Samantha & Jessica. I'm currently writing the variant where you just go with your mom, and despite having had ten days now, I am still only halfway done with it with 21k words written.

I think the best solution would be to split the update up into two. I'll finish the Ethan's mom and Ethan's mom & Lily variation this update, and drop the Samantha and Samantha & Jessica variations in June. I know this isn't optimal, but I swear I have my reasons.

I need to retain Patrons, as two months without an update is enough for many to cancel
My motivation wanes if I haven't released an update in a while
Two smaller updates are better for player retention than one big one

Enough about me, though, let's move on to the art! I have a few CGs and a few extra PFPs to show off today.

First, the Luke CG is making good progress! After this, we may finally get a Vincent design! Shoutout to the three Vincent fans out there.

The playground CG for those of you who don't want to cheer is making good progress, too! It sucks that this CG won't be seen by many people, since I think it's amazing.
