10/26/2024 Progress Update: Paperdoll and Art Update!

Hello everyone!

A progress update only two days after the last one, wow! I'll be honest, I haven't made too much progress on the writing today. But that's because of a very good reason, I spent my time today setting up the paperdoll!

Now, I'll give you all a quick refresher on what a paperdoll is and what it means for the game. If you read the 10/2/2024 Progress Update, I mentioned that I commissioned an artist to create art for the player character. The artist said he would try his best to get it to me by the end of the month and he has succeeded! The sprite has been fully integrated into the game and will update whenever you make a major transformation. For example, if your eyes transform to get larger, the paperdoll will get larger eyes as well.

I think it looks amazing and it really helps the game look a lot better since you can visualize Ethan's changes. However, the artist has expressed some nervousness due to how many people will see this sprite! If you have any kind words for him, please comment them either under this post or on the #art channel on the Discord! I'm planning on sending them to him later, and I'm sure he'll appreciate it.

Next, the CG. One artist for the CG hasn't made any major progress since the last update, since it's only been two days. He's currently working on coloring it in and such. However, the second CG artist has made a ton of progress! He's sketched four versions of the CG that will appear when you meet Aurora. He's also made a character design for her. The images of his amazing work are attached below.

Final art update, you may have noticed the Patreon tiers have a cute little chibi now! It's still in black and white for now, but the artist is hard at work on coloring. She sent me a version with some color/rendering, and once it's all done, we'll have a much prettier Patreon!
