WARNING: Femboy Content Ahoy!
Hello, hello!
Good to be here with another post for you all! I've got another batch of things to share - this time showing off a more in-depth demonstration of the ideas I put forward in the previous update!
As always, this post is going to be pretty long, so get ready for a readin'!
Last time, I did a quick rundown of how combat and leveling would work in Who Are: The Greater Draconians, with the basic idea being that you would sneak onto an enemy, investigate their body for "Insights," and use those Insights to gain an advantage over them in battle. This has more or less what I've managed to get set up since the last post - check out the video for a quick demonstration of the exploration/Insight segment in action (includes femboy content, so be warned)!
Insights will randomly spawn along an enemy's body, with more valuable Insights appearing in dangerous areas. These areas are unlocked by "purchasing" them with your Insight. However, exploring unsafe regions will pose a risk versus reward scenario, and will be designed to end up costing you if you decide to linger for too long.
And one of the ways you'll be able to determine how much danger you're in is through the "Detection" meter, which was inspired by the Mimi stealth segment in HDC, but functions quite a bit differently. So, as your detection increases, more and more "threats" will begin to harass your party, resulting in damage or debuffs being inflicted before you even start battle. Detection will slowly increase over time, but there is also a chance for it to jump up by a small amount when you collect an Insight during exploration.
The last thing I'd like to go over are some of the models I've been working with - and not just the goblins! Since the previous update, I've managed to pick up a few different 3D models for use in Blender! And while I'm still awful with the program, it has opened up a few extra opportunities for improving some of Koikatsu's weaker bits (like internals). One of these models was by Garrisen Game Art on itch.io - highly recommend their work!
As for the goblins, their base designs/battle sprites mostly finished and are the ones shown in the images, but I still have to finish their explorable maps before I can show those off.
Anywho, that'll be all for now! I'm going to start posting some of the more lewd/uncensored previews to a new, patrons-only channel on my Discord, so keep an eye out for that!
Thank you, and take care, friends!
