June Report

So, it's close to the end of June, and there is no test chapter number 2 for Zenith of Sorcery yet. I apologize for that. I'll try to finish a chapter by the end of next week, but of course that means this entire month has been spent with nothing to show for it. If that happens again, I'll switch back to per chapter billings so as to not burden you all with pointless costs.

Anyway, I did keep writing and thinking up chapter outlines in the meantime, so it's not as if I have some kind of writers block already. I'm just slightly stumped about how to get the pacing right - the beginning of the story must be made with special care.

Also, I am currently a bit distracted with editing Mother of Learning. For reasons. Hopefully I'll have good news for you all on that front in the coming months.

I hope you all had a pleasant month, and I thank you all for the continued understanding and support, even with me being slow as a snail as usual.

Thanks for the update mate, cheers

I read MoL recently, and joined partly because I'm excited to read whatever you write next, but also because I wanted to chip in some support for a hundred free chapters of great entertainment. Hang in there! Writing is hard and sometimes things take time.

Take all the time you need! A good story is worth waiting for~

Don’t worry about it. We’ll wait for a good outline & another exciting story.

I don't mind monthly payments as well, even if it takes you several months to publish the chapters. Keep up the amazing work !

Hey, at least you're as fast as a snail! Compared to me, I'm slow as pitch. At the current rate I'm drawing it'll probably take me years to get my first work out :Ü™

I have heard rumors... Perhaps Bryce O'Connor is also busy during the next weeks? Can you comment on that? He said once that he is perhaps helping editing a 'very popular Royal Road story'.

Please continue taking monthly payments. The prep work, pacing, and editing is just as valuable, if not more valuable to me as a reader and a patron than just raw word output. I really enjoy your writing because of the care and planning that goes into it, and I want you to be able to continue putting that level of care into it. If it takes a few months before we see word count output from you, great! Take my money while you do it!

NVM, I see now that it did actually do the month donation & I didn't have to update it. Evidently, I didn't even notice, so I clearly wasn't unduly bothered XD

It's not a burden at all; I actually setup my subscription to be a combo of month & per-chapter release so I haven't been charged- and any of your patreons are able to do this if they prefer- though I think I will change it since I want to support you while you're working on getting this new book up and running. I understand that planning, pacing, and introductions are a ton of work! I agree with Extremeone that even waiting six months would be worthwhile!!!!!!

Jonas Randa

Seriously, just post when you can, i think the majority here are more inclined to support you here as an author and not for return content for every payment. Hyped for potential official release!

Blue

Please don't worry about posting chapters every month. I am more than happy to support you monthly without getting 1 chapter per month. Even 1 chapter for 6 months of payments would be a good deal for me. I also am really looking forward to an official release for Mother of Learning. I will definitely be one of the first to purchase as soon as it is available!

Extremeone

Thanks for the update!

Calvin

Yeah, I also agree that you shouldn't pause the payments. Just release multiple chapters a few months or some other content and it all works out.

Dennis Watson

No swet, like I said before I subbed for your work regardless of if it's now or later.

Longhaul

Sure, just don't actually post it on some website. Sharing it privately is fine.

Domagoj Kurmaic

Take as much time as you need! We'll wait!

VictorBR45

Hey, would it be ok if I share the first chapter of Zenith of Sorcery with a friend?

Mr R

Agreed.

Corwin Amber

My vote would be to keep the monthly payment schedule, I support you on this platform because I enjoy the high quality work you produce, I am happy if my payments go towards a number of months of planning/outlining ZoS, as well as time you put towards the editing pass of MoL. I trust the finished products will be worth it.
