2025-05-11 18:23:30 +0000 UTCcraziest part is that hala hala isn't actually a full year later, it's only about 3-4 months later. the fact that ateez chose to do a performance video in which they completely hide their faces and all wear identical outfits only 3 months after debuting is insane. usually for a new group you want their faces to be seen and for all the members to be distinct since this is their introduction to the industry but ateez's performance and presence is so electric that they literally forced people to pay attention to it by completely dismissing their faces, outfits, hair colours etc. for their FIRST EVER COMEBACK. that's called fuckin aura.

This is commonly thought of as being the birth of the Demon Line (Seonghwa, Hongjoong, and San) because of the insane stages they pulled off with this track. Pirate King (and Treasure) was the debut song and was filmed in Morocco using free sets to save money.
