this album was so formative for me. its so funny to see kevin craving drums on Ivy because that song, at least to me, is perfection. it’s exactly what it needed to be for me at 16 falling in love for the first time. gives me chills

I was in such a dark place and chronically holed up in my room on youtube. I fell in love with you guys and your humor, I’ve always appreciated Kevin’s transparency about his own mental health and how music effects him and how much joy Conor gets getting to show his dad music that he’s grown up with. Listening to how Kevin’s grown in his musical journey has just shown me how much I have by listening to you guys, music and albums I never would’ve listened to, I watched you guys react to and have such a deeper appreciation for creative choices. Now 3 years later, i’m in such a better mental state, and I listen to y’all at night on graveyard shifts. Much love from Texas! 2025-09-19 21:36:32 +0000 UTC22:00 really puts life into perspective for me, bc I rememeber when you guys first started making vids I was really going through a reactionary content phase. And when I watched the first few vids I could tell that Kev was alot more reserved and "on the fence" so to speak about some of the music being shown to him. Now I feel like I know the guy, he's so bubbly and down for new weird shit. It's given me the courage to show my own father some music, which he showed me a majority of the older gen classics and hidden gems, but is very reserved with his music taste. Hopefully he'll come around, but witnessing this relationship between you both grow over the years has been the next best thing. Thank you guys :,)

Blonde took me over a year to fall in love with and that’s why this reaction made me giddy and excited to watch … such an experience wish I could re listen to this album again for the first time

2025-09-18 00:27:49 +0000 UTCKevin mentions different versions of ivy with drums and they definitely did that while recording, they did several different versions of basically every song had different people on different versions, Zach Hill from DG famously recorded stuff they didn’t use for Blonde. Im p sure different versions exist somewhere online plus he did different versions of a couple songs i remember Nights for sure at his infamous Coachella set that i personally absolutely love
