Dad Reacts to Wunderhorse - Midas

Happy Friday everyone and Happy Saturday to all of you who are living in the future,

Much love,

K & C

Comments

Thanks for introducing me to Wunderhorse last year. Adding my +1 to hearing a reaction to their debut 'Cubs', so you can complete their discography.

Guy Mannion

coming back from seeing Wunderhosrse in glasgow (lightly drunk) and watching this to wind down. great show!! recommend seeing them when you get the chance

Ella

July is one of the best of the year

Andy O'Toole

You need to check out their first album cub it’s even better phenomenal band.

Adam

yess please react to the debut together!! I‘d love to so see your reactions to it. 🤍

Vanessa Lanc

For real, these guys are hitting almost ALL my spots of music, but there are so many indie and alt rock classics they haven't done. But if they aren't interested in much of this besides Radiohead, The Strokes, AM, and the new British Rock scene, it's totally okay. We just haven't seen an MCR, Linkin Park, Death Cab, Interpol, Neutral Milk Hotel, Queens of the Stone Age, Car Seat Headrest, Alex G, Mitski, Arcade Fire, etc etc etc which are huge in the album and alt scenes. We'll see though!

Cage Anon

You guys should try Death Cab for Cutie out. I'm sure you've heard of them, famous indie rock band who blew up in the 00's. I'll bring it up because fall is perfect for their music. Transatlanticism would be their most classic album

Bee Ayy

Kevin! Connor! I highly recommend listening to Where The Heart Is by Sweet Pill! They have a similar sound to Paramore, and Surf Curse. They have pretty unique song structures, littered with awesome drums, and amazing vocals on par with Hayley Williams. I know you guys would love it!

Ben Dillon

Their 2022 album Cub is also good, and while you are in the UK musically might I suggest we're all alone in this together by Dave ;)

Joonatan Konttinen

i’d love to see you listen to sam fender, Wunderhorse is supporting sam on his upcoming tour 💗

Caitie Campbell

You should definitely listen to cub! I’d love to see that

Riven Hewitt

PLEASE just don’t listen to LIFESTYLE by Yeat on the channel. It’s way too long, super repetitive, every song has the same lyrical content, and the features are just alright. I only enjoy like 3 songs on it so yah, just please don’t check it out on the channel.

Jay Kizzy

Not sure if anyone has said this… but fun little fact is the guitar player in this band (Harry) is son of famous singer Kim Wilde

Callum Edwards

Still requesting Geordie Greep’s The New Sound! I know you two would love it and find it bonkers, no regrets

A B

Not sure if it’s in you guys’ wheelhouse, but would b super interested to see you (especially Kevin) listen to Willow’s emathogen!!

Kiah MacMillan

If you guys don’t listen to cub (which imo is amazing) you should at least listen to Teal. Seen them live twice that song is amazing live

aled

It's been year since last Sufjan reaction. Is there an angle for Illinois or Carrie & Lowell in the near future? Thanks!

yellowflannel

Additionally, I was incredibly lucky to meet Jacob Slater by pure coincidence the day of the gig in my hometown and spent about 20 mins in conversation with him, talking everything from music to food and drink spot suggestions. One of the nicest people I’ve met, total legend. It was quite strange seeing his on-stage persona later that night when he performed July, incredible stage presence.

Jacob Cant

Absolute legends, excited for this! Sam Fender is definitely one to add to the ever-increasing list you guys must have, with a new album on the horizon and two already out, he’s huge over here in the UK

Jacob Cant

I WOULD LOVEEEEEE TO SEE AN LCD SOUNDSYSTEM REACTION

Luke Bredeweg

Do the switch for the greep!! 🙏🙏

Hmm idk

Also, please listen to the debut so I can listen along with you! I havent listened to it in full yet and would enjoy listening along with you guys

Lynn

if you enjoyed this i think you should check out the record friko dropped early this year… similarly heavy but a bit more emotional and varied in the track list. love yall keep it up

nugzy.com

English Teacher is amazing.

TheValeyard

I know yall get a ton of suggestions and hopefully it’s not annoying to ask, but you guys should do “Old” by Danny Brown. Really curious to hear what Kevin thinks, because of how different it sounds in comparison to all the albums heard before. It’s one of my favorites. Or do XXX. Just love to see Danny reactions. Much love thanks for the content ❤️

qy1nn

Another great video! I also found Wunderhorse via Fontaines. Have you two listened to any Yves Tumor? Their most recent album from 2023 is so fun

sunshinebby

You guys should seriously listen to one of xxxtentaction’s albums I think it would be pretty cool

Ryan Shepard-Brinkley

This is so random but in the future you guys should consider listening to a nicki minaj album like pinkprint

flvrrvl

A kneecap reaction is needed

Conor Lydon

Been asking for 2 years... pls 😭 The windy weather is here, DO DRAKE - VIEWS

THOT

If you haven’t heard it yet, you guys should listen to Silent Alarm by Bloc Party. A great indie rock record, good lyrics, emotional at times, and overall very unique. Plus Matt Tong’s drumming is KILLER throughout, I think you’d both love it!

Matthew Cammarata

i second the sam fender requests!

Charlotte

big rt for english teacher!

kush

You have to do Vince Staples Crabs In A Bucket!!! It is by far his best

Jakob Sundström

Please can you react to Sam Fender if you haven’t heard him already. It think you’ll really love him. He’s very Bruce Springsteen in an incredible way. Both albums are very good so you can do whichever you want first

Daniel Pearson

Yall gotta do Ab-Soul’s new album “Soul Burger”

Benjamin Johnson

This was unexpected but im so happy it happened! I feel ya Kev... this time of year always makes me nostalgic for some 80s/90s rock.

Lynn

Also superman is side A closer , side B opens with July

Joel

would love to see yalls reaction to Cub it is a fantastic as well and I think has a bit more interesting songwriting than Midas. would also love to see a reaction to Absolutely by Dijon at some point, one of my favs ever 💚

johnnnyy

Yesss!! First saw these guys supporting Fontaines D.C. in Manchester . They only had 2 singles out so didn’t really know know what to expect, went to that show and it blew me away ,they’ve been my 2nd favourite band since . The first album is also something else, and they are so unbelievably perfect live get to a show if u can !!

Joel

English Teacher is soooo 🥹

kelly

I love everything they do. Their tiny desk was great too

kelly

Please do th4 need freddie gibbs project it's so fucking good 🙏

Eric Hall

Hello! I would love to see you guys cover the new Halsey album, The Great Impersonator. The songs take inspiration from artists like Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, Dolly, Britney, etc. (check out her instagram page, where she “impersonates” many of their album covers). Thanks and love your channel always!!

Sabrina Pan

I am so glad to see this album getting some attention! Jakob Slaters voice is so beautiful

Mega

fantastic video. seems like some of the more predictable stuff(thinking of cathedrals especially) goes down a lot better this side of the pond. cub is a must, i think, especially for your dad, on that record the songwriting is a bit more unpredictable and unusual. for me, they have released two perfect records

BrewersTV

love watching you guys!! I watched your guys Tyler reaction and seen the balloon son with doechii and seen how much you guys liked her verse! Her latest album “Alligator Bites Never Heal” is honestly such a masterpiece. She’s so versatile with the production and the way she uses her voice. Her rapping skills are on another level, so much I’m confident to say she’s like the female Kendrick 😭. I’ve listened to it so much on repeat her artistry is top notch

nathan

this is the first time i've ever heard of wunderhorse so thank you i just bought a ticket to one of their shows because of you guys

legumegorl

Submarine by The Marias is great

Lofton

If you liked this then I think you should consider giving Sam Fender a try. His „Hypersonic Missiles” LP is amazing. I think you would really enjoy it Kevin!

TheValeyard

Superman is one of my favourite songs released this decade - I saw the band live in London a couple weeks and was so happy that they played it to end their main set. They don’t play it very often, but it was life-changing to see it performed in front of me! Thanks so much for the video!

Joe

I finished the book of eels and loved it. Any other book recommendations?

Lofton

Jacob Slater (lead of Wunderhorse) also was in a band called Dead Pretties prior to this project. They only released 3 singles but all bangers, Confidence especially

Sam

This is such a great album! Haha, surprised to see a reaction to it! I'd recommend English Teacher's album from this year. It won the Mercury Prize against Charli, Last Dinner Party etc. Might enjoy it - another great British indie rock album!

Angus Thom

Holy cow it’s a long shot but if you’re looking to find some crazy good new music in 2024 I know you two would be crazy impressed by, is Roy Blair’s Chasing Moving Trains

Ethan Cook

Also its ‘NEWKEY’ - thats how you say it :)

Sam Gill

Amazing I can’t wait to check out this reaction after work you guys are the best

Jamie Cunningham

Connor asked that question in the video and I think its one we need to check out. Someone just messaged me about the song Teal. Cheers - Kev

TTT

YESSSSSS!!! cant wait to watch after work, would recommend you guys check out rina sawayama!! her discography is flawless and totally up your alley, i would recommend starting with hold the girls album first ❤️

calumorsomething

OH YESS

Fred Beckett

Now that you have listened to wunderhorse I would love to see you guys react to their debut “Cub” it’s a lot more sentimental reflecting on childhood also an amazing album by them

Jamie Cunningham

YOU BEST KNOW I BEEN WAITING FOR THIS

Jamie Cunningham

I didn't ever expect to this album done on here. I'm so happy it is!

John Hughes

Literally just started listening to this! This album is great 💙

Sam Gill
