Being in your mid-twenties, reflecting on your life in a time of worldwide turmoil, giving yourself grace for how you handled things in the past and realizing that a lot of the things that would keep you up at night don't actually matter.

This album brought me closer to friends that are some of the most important people in my life to this day. So happy that you guys did a video on it!! By the way, if you guys are looking for more pop I think Emotion by Carly Rae Jepsen is probably the best pop album of the 2010's with Melodrama being the only one close to it for me, also produced by Jack and just incredible pop all around, would be a cool listen

2024-06-26 18:52:51 +0000 UTCOne of the greatest, most innovative albums of the last decade. I think one of the most important elements to Lorde's catalog is that there is no waste in her songs. Every single word is deliberately chosen--and you can feel her emotion in her delivery. You never have to question the authenticity of her songs. Very similar to Lana in that respect. Personally, I think Pure Heroine should be reviewed in its entirety. It's a timeless masterpiece (written between the ages of 13-17). Solar Power is an album that grows on you with time, and it reflects her growth in life. Melodrama is beautiful and chaotic; Solar Power is peaceful and more contemplative as she's gotten older.

I went to see her at a sold out melodrama tour show at 'The anthem' in DC ( Run the Jewels was the opening act as well and had released a remix of one of Lorde's songs), and I had not seen a crowd of people so elated to see any pop artist in my life up until that point. The moment she did her cover of Frank Ocean's 'Solo' had the whole room paused in awe and just fawning over her it was so moving. Anyway this album meant a ton to me and a bunch of people in 2017 and I know it still does now for a ton of people, so super pumped for this reaction! Definitely need to revisit solar power today, and Hoping you guys are having a good day/summer💕💕
