Dad Reacts to Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt (Patreon Exclusive)

I'm catching up so I don't know if this will ever get read but the beef with Jay z and Nas started with this album. The song Dead presidents II was supposed to have Nas on it. Nas backed out like 3 or 4 times so Jay went to his publisher, bought the rights to Nas line and turned it into a song. It's later referenced in his diss track the takeover on the blueprint album

2023-01-11 07:25:51 +0000 UTCI like that you could see Kevin catch onto the double entendres and word play that makes Jay Z the greatest. Glad he called out the 2nd verse of D’Evils “we used to fight for building blocks now we fight for blocks with buildings…” such simple wordplay but contains so many complex ideas and encapsulates the album

2023-01-10 05:35:56 +0000 UTCJay has always been an overrated rapper in my opinion but he really brings it on this album . jack of all trades kind of guy, but no wow factor. but damn, there's really some wow factor on this album . this project alone solidifies him as one of the greatest. also im currently detoxing from drugs and your videos bring me a lot of comfort in a very uncomfortable time . thanks for everything you do ! hoping for some anderson paak soon <3

2023-01-10 00:52:01 +0000 UTCWhen you do Blueprint you should also do Stillmatic right after so your dad can hear Takeover and Ether back to back

2023-01-05 16:53:17 +0000 UTCJay-Z is one of my favorite rappers of all-time. Excited to see you guys move through his discography.
2023-01-05 05:28:56 +0000 UTCI think they’ll hit up CNTRL first or the ( Z ) album first both may give better intro into sza ☕️

2023-01-04 20:00:39 +0000 UTCLauryn Hill Please !! You will Not be disappointed, track for track it’s a classic. Growing up and entering adulthood as a young black woman That album is like a passage and holds a lot of meaning for me. I love going back to it when I don’t feel like myself or just need an emotional reboot to let myself know “I’m under control” 👏🏾👏🏾

2023-01-04 03:02:04 +0000 UTCI'm hype for the Jay z journey. Reasonable Doubt, Blue Print 1, Blue Print 2, The Black Album (might be my favorite), American Gangster, Blue Print 3, Watch the Throne, 4:44. Great discography

2023-01-04 02:34:01 +0000 UTCLove this, been waiting to hear you do a Jay-Z one for a while. Looking forward to The Blueprint. AND... kudos on the 93 to infinity at the end - one of those tracks for me that I don't tire of hearing, especially in the summer. You talked about different Jay albums but The Black Album is up for there for me... maybe just takes me back to a time in my life (college/uni), but one of my faves.
2023-01-04 01:23:31 +0000 UTCKev, if I’m not mistaken hip-hop actually did originate in New York. This was discussed around the 30 min mark
2023-01-03 23:41:32 +0000 UTCTHANK YOU!!
