2023-12-03 21:59:41 +0000 UTCNCT U members are ALL the members of the NCT system, (so everyone in NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV) in rotation. The members used and number of them change from song to song depending on what the song calls for, but are all called “NCT U”. For example this song by NCT U has 7 members: 3 who are in 127 (Taeyong, Jaehyun and Doyoung), 2 WayV members (Xiaojun and Lucas), 1 Dream member (Jaemin), and Shotaro, who was an unplaced member at the time, but was later removed from NCT and put in the group RIIZE. Another song by “NCT U” called Baby Don’t Stop is just 2 members: Taeyong of 127 and Ten of WayV. Every year, NCT releases an album or two as a full group with all the members in the group that year on it. So, NCT 2020: Resonance had all 23 members of NCT on the album. Same for NCT 2021, NCT 2018: Empathy, and NCT 2022. Though the number of members change depending on if anyone was added to the group or was removed. For example, the group had 21 members for awhile then added 2 more, who were later removed and put in a different group (in my opinion this was because COVID skewed the timeline). So the number then dropped back to 21, then Lucas left WayV and NCT, so NCT had 20 members for part of 2023. However, they made an announcement they were going to make one final subunit and then quit expanding, and they added 6 more members, though that unit has not debuted yet. So NCT maxes out at 26 members now. Anyway, NCT U exists because on the full-group albums they put out, they release many songs that have a mix of members from different units. Rather than list 4 or 11 or 7 etc names (of whoever is on the song from Dream, 127 and WayV), they just brand them as NCT U songs. Each full-group album also includes a full-group song. It’s amazing how they fit 20-something members onto one song. I recommend you check out Black on Black, Resonate, Beautiful, and Golden Age, their full group songs.

2023-12-03 07:06:00 +0000 UTCNCT U is a rotational unit so the members change with each song. You will find members of NCT 127, NCT Dream and Way V (NCT's Chinese unit) participating in NCT U songs. I guess you can think of 'NCT U' as 'NCT Universe'. So it's a universal group for any member that falls in any group under the NCT banner. Across all current NCT groups, there are 20 members. They are going to be expanding soon though with 'NCT New team' which is their Japanese Unit. NCT as a whole definitely has one of the best discographies in kpop. All of their units are really talented.

The only actual groups with the same members are NCT 127, NCT Dream and WayV( a Chinese sub unit) also love your videos ❤️
