One Piece: Rise - East Blue Saga 2

Before returning to the hotel for the night, you made your way through the town alongside your two crew mates and stocked up on what you needed. You ended up spending a whole six hundred thousand beri in total, stocking up on a massive amount of good food that would keep for a while.

And you'd made sure to stock up on a variety of different kind of fruits. There was no telling what kind of fruit a Devil Fruit would reincarnate into, so it was best to cover all the basis you could.

And to your surprise, Carina even managed to get a good deal on a Den Den Mushi.

You were surprised though as the three of you, with your luggage made your way towards the shipyard.

"Magnus." Rebecca said your name simply and turned to you.

"Yeah, I know." you nodded simply. You could feel a decently powerful aura hanging around the shipyard. Not as strong as you, or Rebecca actually, but around the same kind of strength you felt from Carina.

"What?" Carina gave you both a confused look.

"There's somebody pretty strong hanging around the shipyard." you replied.

"Oh, that haki stuff you told me about!" Carina nodded in realization, and then shook her head, "I really need to learn that, it seems so useful. So, what about this whoever they are? They a threat?"

"Nah, shouldn't be too much of a problem." you shrugged.

"Well, alright then." the purple haired beauty shrugged herself.

It was suspicious that someone this strong was hanging around the day you were going to pick up your ship. But, they weren't strong enough to be any threat to you unless they had some absurd devil fruit power hidden in the wings, but you doubted it.

"There he is." Rebecca spoke up when the three of you reached your destination, a massive metal building built over a lane of ocean water that led into the island. It was built that way so ships could just sail right in.

"..He doesn't look like much does he? Shishi." Carina chuckled.

Leaning against the outside of the metal building, was a tall slim man with very pale skin. He was clad in a snazzy grey suit, with weirdly coiled light purple hair that curved into a hook-like shape, and a set of sun dark sunglasses.

You felt his aura spike up with anticipation and excitement as he noticed you both. And his intent to do you all harm was obvious.

He pushed up off of the metal building he was leaning against and approached the three of you at a casual pace, one hand in his pocket. You didn't need to be able to easily feel his emotions with his observation haki to tell how confident this guy was.

"And who are you supposed to be?" Carina raised an eyebrow at him in amusement.

"You can call me Eric Miss Hell-Cat, Eric The Whirlwind," the pale lithe man introduced himself with a smirk, before focusing entirely on you, "So good to meet you Red Magnus. I am here today to claim that massive bounty on your head."

"Are you now?" you raised an eyebrow.

"Indeed," he nodded and flared the fingers of the hand that remained out at you, showing off long glittering silver nails. Unlike the gold ones El Drago wore though, they were completely natural it seemed, "Now be a good little pirate boy and die, Sickle Slash!" he thrust out one finger and slashed one of his long fingernails out towards you. A large blade of wind as long as you were tall burst from his fingernail towards you.

You tilted to the side casually, allowing it to fly right passed you into the air. His intentions were so obvious you could read him like a book with your observation haki.

Hmm, from what you could tell. That was entirely wind, and from what you could feel, nothing like how a swordsman would do it, or how rankyaku was performed.

"A devil fruit?" you asked in interest, ad now that you focused on him, you could feel that general energy around him. Until someone used a devil fruit around you, it was hard to kind of lock onto that energy. They had a same kind of frequency in a way, but all different at the same time, so it was hard to pinpoint them in people without really looking for them specifically.

"Hmm, I suppose some of that bounty is earned, you have quite the reflexes on you," Eric mused, before chuckling and holding his hand up for you to see his nails again, "And indeed, I have eaten one of the vaunted devil fruit. The Sickle Sickle devil fruit to be precise, which allows me to create wind blades and gave me these fabulous nails that can slice through iron. My blades nails and wind both, are easily as sharp as the legendary meito! I am the legendary sickle man!"

...Okay? You supposed it was a decently powerful fruit. A very straight forward one, and limited in versatility.

But that was some amount of boasting. Especially when you could create a better wind slash just by kicking your leg out at this point.

Well  it would be good to sell you supposed. It looked easy to use, so it would definitely be worth quite a decent bit.

You made to step forward and use Soru, but just as you lifted your leg Carina held her hand out in front of you and dropped the luggage she was carrying, "Hey, wanna let me take him on?" the purple haired woman asked, grinning at you, "You and Rebecca aren't really a good way to measure how good I am. And I'd like to get a good look at how I stack up since we're heading to the Grand Line soon."

"I don't see why not," you responded after a moment of thought, "Have at him."

"Thanks captain~!" Carina chirped and skipped forward.

"Hah, some little girl thinks she can take me on?" Eric shook his head and laughed, and raised his hand into the air, curling all five fingers into claws, "Well, I suppose an extra seventeen million beri will be nice as well. Sickle Whirlwind!" he slashed all five fingers through the air and launched five large wind blades tearing through the air towards Carina.

In response, she opened her mouth, a golden aura flaring around her, "Haaah!" Carina gave a loud shout, and from her mouth erupted a massive beam of kinetic energy.

It slammed into the wind blades, getting sliced into a bit, before overpowering them fully and shooting towards Eric.

"Wha-" the purple haired man only had the time to exclaim in shock a bit before the beamed slammed into him and tore him from the ground, carrying him along and smashing him into a large rock and through it.

There was silence for a moment as the debris of the destroyed rock rained down over the area. "..Wait...that's it?" Carina scratched at the back of her head in shock, "I haven't even pulled my chakram out yet!"

"Well, he's not that strong, like Magnus said," Rebecca pointed out, "And from the looks of it, your devil fruit is stronger than his."

"She's right, more or less," you nodded, as you felt the man out with your haki. He was in a massive state of shock, but more than that, he was in a lot of pain and didn't feel up to moving, "Basically a bad match up. The fire power of your fruit is no joke." it looked like this Eric guy hadn't trained much wit his fruit either. He was able to basically fire Rankyaku on command as easily as breathing, but they were shallow, thin. As such, the sheer speed and brute power of Carina's fruit, overpowered his.

"Well that's disappointing," she pouted, shoulders slumping, "Guess I'll need to wait till we go for the Trump Pirates to get a proper test."

"Looks like." you nodded and walked over to where Eric was. The purple haired man had a spike of panic when he caught sight of you.

"W-wait, I'm sorry, I didn-" you didn't let him finish, disappearing in a blur of speed to appear at his head and raising your foot up, before mercilessly ringing it down on his head and breaking his skull apart beneath your boot.

Rebecca winced and looked away. She was too kind to be perfectly okay with this sort of thing. But, she was resigned that it was something that had to be done against enemies and accepted it.

And you couldn't fault her for it. The you of your younger years would be horrified to see how easily you killed people nowadays. But that was before you went through seeing your kingdom raised, your people slaughtered like cattle, laughing and playing with your godfather only to never see him again after parting ways that night, or watching your father be ganged up on and killed in front of you.

Now you didn't even flinch when it came to killing enemies. Unless they gave you a good reason, you felt no reason to be merciful.

"Brutal," Carina winced, before shaking her head and picking up the luggage she was carrying, "Oh well, that was...something. Let's just get a move on and go get our ship."

"Let's go." you agreed.

Your eyes went to the bag Rebecca was carrying. It was filled with mostly food, and the girl was giving it a curious look. After all, the same familiar faint aura you could feel from Eric, had moved to it. Blossoming and growing, feeling much more abundantly powerful than the aura you could feel from Eric himself.

What a profitable morning. A guy literally just came to you and basically handed over his devil fruit.

"Oooooh!" Rebecca let out impressed noises as you were shown the newly refurbished ship. She along with Carina were already up top looking around it.

It had an entirely new paint job. The dull golden colors replaced with silver and grey, and the golden plating redone into a platinum color. And in the same vein, the lion figurehead had been changed out for a platinum silver, roaring tiger head.

The white sails had been replaced with ebony black ones, the front sails and the flag atop the crows nest baring the jolly roger you all had decided on. A pair of golden handled blades crossed under a skull with a golden crown atop it. A jolly roger that symbolized that all three of you were former royals, and a trio of red blood-like scars came down from the left eye of the jolly roger, a symbol of you and the trio of scars over your own left eye

Your mind flashed back to those warm nostalgic days of childhood, and the pride you had felt at overcoming your enemy, one of the white lions of your home kingdom.

God did you miss those days.

You shook your head after a few moments of reminiscing, putting it out of mind. "You do good work old man." you praised the burly white haired man showing the ship to you.

"Ah, it was pretty simple lad," he shrugged, "The most complicated was getting the wiring for the electricity done and installing the generator you wanted, but even that was pretty small time."

"Magnus, come check this out!" Carina shouted from over the railing as she inspected the ship.

Shrugging, you did just that, leaping into the air and clearing the multiple of dozens of feet through the air to land on the deck.

You found Carina pointing at where the golden lined simple throne that El Drago had on the ship originally was. As per your specifications, it had been changed out, for another one. A silver throne with silver tiger heads at the arm rests, and thick grey velvet cushion for sitting on and resting your back against

"Damn, it looks amazing!" you cheered, rushing over to inspect it.

Carina was grinning, but shook her head, "I can't believe you had him customize the throne." she said in wonder.

"Hey, if that scrub El Drago can get a throne, then I deserve one to." you fired back over your shoulder at her before taking a seat on and groaning a lightly as you sank into it. Damn was it comfy. You grinned back at her then and patted your lap, "Here, I've even got a good seat for you." you teased.

Carina raised an eyebrow at you, before shrugging you and sauntering over and taking a seat in your lap. She wasted no time in turning around sideways in your lap and throwing her legs over the arm rest.

You admired how soft and full her rear felt against your crotch as she adjusted her seat, "Well, it's not a bad seat I suppose," she mused, "Don't expect me to sit here feeding you grapes or something though."

You chuckled, "Nah, that's obviously for girls in skimpy harem outfits, who stand behind the throne and fan me."

"Shishishi, I suppose it would fit the theme of us being the Sovereign Pirates, wouldn't it?" Carina laughed along. "Speaking of, have you decided on a name for the ship yet?"

"Nope," you shrugged, "Not yet." all the same, you hadn't really put much thought into it either.

Carina tapped her chin, "Well, going by the colors of the ship, how about Byakko?" she threw an idea out, "There's a legend about a powerful white tiger called that, or there was back in the Oykot Kingdom before it got destroyed."

"Byakko?" you tested the word in your mouth.

"It means White Tiger," Carina told you, "I thought it was fitting considering your devil fruit and the whole white and silver them you've got going on with the ship and all the tiger heads."

It was, was it?

"I like it!" you decided after a moments thought, "The ship is hereby christened The Byakko! We should drink to the name of it."

"Later, once we're already out on the sea," Carina flicked your nose, "We don't need you getting black out drunk here and now and us having to stay here another day."

You gave the older woman a pout.

Sadly, it lacked the sheer power Rebecca's pout had, and thus, it failed.
