The monster (who I have not yet named but will probably end up in the comic somehow) threw something at Mia. As it struck her she was engulfed in a cloud of yellow smoke. There was a sensation of a strange rubbery material forming around her.
Before she realised what was happening, the sound of a vacuum cleaner started nearby and in an instant, she was no longer able to move. Mia struggled to escape whatever was holding her.
As the smoke cleared, she saw that she was encased in a vacuum bed, with the monster standing next to her as though she'd just performed a magic trick.
