What's Next - Update blog (January)

Hi everyone! This is the first ”What's next update blog” of 2023. In this blog I'm going to talk about what is coming next here on fanbox, as well as give you some of my thoughts on current or future projects.

Fan Art

When it comes to Fan Art, you can expect to see the same crack couples that I always focus on. But one main difference this year, is that I have given myself something of a weekly schedule of things that I want to get done every week, which includes more fan art that previously. In other words, I am going to try to draw more fan art each month than I did before.

Minato's Wedding Surprise

I believe it was a mistake for me to announce this comic and release it page by page. I should have released the story when it was finished instead, since there is two pages that is taking me way too long to get done. This was always planned to be a very short and mainly humorous little comic, which I don't think really works when you have to wait more than a month for a new page. Due to this, I'm going to wait to post anything new on this comic until it's completely finished. Once it's finished, I'm going to release the whole thing here on fanbox and it's only going to be available on fanbox.

New Comics

This year you can definitely expect to see new comics here on fanbox, hopefully sooner rather than later. I still have to think up some interesting ideas for comics, but I do have one that I really want to do one day. That is to make something of a comic version of the Sinful story. I think that's something that I could release page by page, without making it less interesting or enjoyable to follow, since you already got the story version of it. The comic version would obviously have less story in it, and have a much faster pacing. For now it's just an idea though, and I would love to hear your opinion on it. I'm also thinking of doing mini comics out of scenes from any of my stories. There is also good chance that I might do a new comic that isn't based on any story at all, it all depends on what I am able to come up with. Anything like the short comic "Kushina's Pregnancy Test" and things like that, is something that I will always do :).

Fan Fiction

Sinful

I have lost count on how many chapters I released of this story in December. I believe it's either 6 or 7 chapters. There is no way that I will be able to write that many chapters in month in the future, but I will try to release a minimum of one new chapter per month for this story. This month is an exception, as I still have some old scenes and material from previous versions of this story, which will help me put together a few more new chapters faster. I believe I will probably have about 3-4 new chapters for this story this month.

Teacher and Student

While I was able to write 6 or 7 chapters for the ”Sinful” story during December, I have not written a new chapter for this story in a couple of month now. Previously I have explained how hard it is to write something when you are in a writer's block, and can not come up with any interesting new ideas to write about. I also talked about Naruto, Kurenai and Anko and that it was not as fun or easy to write about them as it is with the KonKushi pairing. After thinking about why it is so hard for me to write new chapters for the story, I have come to the realization that the writer's block thing, and Naruto's story line, isn't the problem at all.

The actual problem is the fact that this story is way too similar to the sinful story. I have already used scenes and situations that I had planned for the sinful story in a few chapters of this story. For example, the Jiraiya-Sakura-Ino threesome kiss, the swinging with those three characters and Minato and Hinata, and so on. Those things were always planned to happen in Sinful as well, and is still going to happen. Then this story also has the exact same premise as the Sinful story, with similar story lines with just a few differences, such as the way that Konohamaru and Kushina gets together faster once they actually start ”dating”.

What I should have done instead, was to come up with a new premise for this story, while using the same couples of course. That would have been much more fun to write about, and I believe that would have been more fun to read as well.

Due to this, I have decided that I am going to end this story with one or two more chapters. In the last one or two chapters, I'm going to write mostly lemons, having the main couples of that story hook up, and maybe even have something of a swingers/orgy scene with those couples in focus. I will also write up a little epilogue, where I give the readers some closure on what happens in the future.

I am then going to replace this story with two new fanbox exclusive stories.

Two New Stories

The first story I have planned is a new version of that One Piece/Naruto/Crossover story that I attempted in the past. The difference this time is that Konohamaru is going to be the sole main character, with Kushina being something of a female lead. The other Naruto characters, and pretty much any character from any anime, may also be a part of the story and get some side stories focused on them. The story is going to be a Konohamaru x Kushina story with maybe something of a harem for Konohamaru as well. I will release the first chapter for this story once I have written around ten chapters for it. That way there should be regular releases of new chapters for this story once I actually publish it here on fanbox. That may sound like it's going to take a long time, but it really won't. I actually wouldn't be surprised if I post a chapter for this story as soon as this month.

The next story is going to be the main replacement for “Teacher and Student”, which I'm going to prioritize over the One Piece story. It's going to be a story located only in the Naruto world, and only using characters from the same world. The main character this time is going to be Naruto. I can't tell you much more than that, because I need to think up a completely new premise for this story, in order to come up with something new and interesting that is very different from my previous stories. It is still going to feature the same old couples though, but it will happen much differently. This is definitely going to be a Naruto harem story though.
