Yup, the second trial was unfair, most of the evidence and witnesses Leslie provided were rejected and the judge was the same as in the first trial. They just wanted a win after so many high profile case losses. That is one of the main reasons people want a retrial, it wasn’t fair, treating real people as numbers in their case win statistics. It is also true that Leslie played hangman with Erik to get his mind off of what the prosecutor was saying, she didn’t want the “they’re lying” narrative to get to him. The whole purpose of the second trial was for them to lose. Infuriating. Waiting on the documentary reaction. Thank you guys!
