Yep that Was Juzo's ghost on Mazinger's shoulder. Groizer X was one of the many Super Robots made to cash in on Mazinger's Success during the 70's and 80's but also like many of those same Super Robots, Groizer didn't have any projects using it for decades before Shin Mazinger. This show used it's name and design to make a series of Kikaiju/Mechanical Beasts for this show. Also Mazinger does have some cool designs for the monsters of the week but also some goofy ones like Damdam L2 and Genocider F9.
