Hey family. We had some audio issue with this one so apologies in advance. The problem has been fixed for future episodes but wanted to give you a heads up. Hopefully it won’t distract you too much because this is a good one.

Yeah. She saw Matthew going into the locket. That vision. I am glad I figured it out too. It was really bugging me! Haha. Thanks for your help too!!!

Ah, ok. So she didn’t just see a vision of her, Melinda actually came to the future in that ep, right? That’s why I was confused, bcuz I don’t think there’s an ep where she just “sees” Melinda in the past and without her coming to the future. Glad you found it!

Melinda's first epsiode in the 1st season. IT IS!!! because she was touching the locket when she had the vision!

I can think of several eps with Melinda Warren, I just can’t think of one where Phoebe only sees her in a vision of the past. Shes in “the witch is back” where a warlock is accidentally released, she’s in the season 3 episode “All Halliwell’s eve,” where the girls go back in time to save her, and there are several references to flying that ep, albeit on brooms. Phoebe’s gift is premonition, and I can’t think of an ep where she just sees the past, and they don’t actually go to the past.

I am not sure. I am still.trying. she saw a vision of the past....Melinda Warren....
Kelsey W
2023-12-30 03:53:39 +0000 UTC
Where Phoebe saw the past? Or went to the past? She sees the future in her visions. I can think of a couple eps it may be depending on the answer.
Dawn Chessen
2023-12-29 22:54:21 +0000 UTC
There is an episode...where phoebe saw the past and it was questioned...gosh what epsiode was that.... and she says the line "yeah but I was hoping I'd get to fly."

It makes sense that Piper felt the most emotion in this episode. She felt guilty - as she was the one who brought the virus to the hospital. she was the cause. This was a heart wrenching episode. But it also drives home the reason why Piper chose Leo over Dan. someone to talk to who understands.

Holly really know how to do an emotional scene. That scene at the end with her and Brian was…wow.

I don’t think so cause she bound them, not get rid of them. They were always witches even when they didn’t have access to their gifts.

I don’t want to make this a sexist thing but I be clocking the outfits too. Like every episode I have a comment about the outfits and style the have no matter if it’s good or bad. They do say women are more detailed oriented so that could be why Holly clocks them more often then the guys do. 😅

I love how Brian explained how and why he went about playing Leo. It may seem "boring" to some, but as a young boy, watching this man comfort and discuss things with the current love of his current afterlife was refreshing. Sure, he had another family somewhere else (I'm not referring to the Elders, lol), but even as a literal angel, he seemed grounded from the clothes to the attitude and tones in his voice. Speaking of the oversized clothing choices, we didn't have much, and growing up, I sometimes borrowed my dad's shirts and sweaters for school. Brian's popular character helped perpetuate a style that made me comfortable wearing my dad's larger-sized clothing. I'm relieved the audio issue was more minor of a deal than I thought. HMC, Queen, the Kool-Aid is delicious, and as I'm a legit ride-or-die, you're not making it easy! I love how deep the discussion of the episode went. Even the critiquing of certain storylines. We all crave more from specific stories, as shown in the discussion. HMC, you always understand the assignment. You went hard for multiple reasons. Expressing the guilt your character felt was fantastic to see on screen. A+ pod.

Always talking about how Leo is leaving for his other family (LOL) when things get tough. I always thought he was more of a guide, so he wasn't supposed to be there when things got tough. Here's the information you need to be successful if you need me holler kind of thing.

I love this episode I agree they did rush into phoebe being irritated but I think they wanted to show what happens when you live with others and the struggle that comes with it. I love that at the end she embraces him and the whole list she has is really positive

Y’all really do need to find the DVDs and watch with the OG music. There are a couple shows I can’t watch anywhere but DVDs because streaming changes the music. This one and Supernatural.
Also, really enjoyed listening to Matt. I could have listened to him for hours, he’s so wise and smooth.

When I first watched the episode, I wondered if they were going to make the Stone character into a reoccurring love interest for Prue. I thought maybe that was why so much time was spent on that story.

The powers in the blood thing always irked me but I tried to make sense of it as either the Awakened Spell that saved Piper made them activated in the blood / this was the personal gain impact of the sisters originally awakening her or Leo saving her. Any of those options could’ve made it more of a one off and less easy for anyone to steal their powers.
Also this episode without Bush Letting The Cables sleep at the end is just not the same. I loved Bush at the time and that scene at the end is heartbreaking!

You all really NEED to watch this with the original music! It makes the show! I know you are all careful to say things like, the rip off music or the fake music or the second class music, but it is so not the same. The original music is so perfect & the music played on streaming services does not do the show justice. Please get it & watch it how it was meant to be watched! I will send you both a copy with a DVD/Blu-Ray player! Send me your shipping address...not a stalker...just a die hard forever Charmed fan from the beginning with commercials back with a VHS player and set it to record! Remember back then? They would not re-air the season 3 season finale? It always made me so mad because it was sooo good & DVD's were not yet available. If you missed certain episodes, they did not always replay them. Gotta love the ability to purchase the Blu-Ray's and have it all! I make a pact to myself to at least watch it all of the way through once a year! LOVE LOVE LOVE you 3 are doing this! I am so excited for the next few episodes and for seasons 3 & 4!!! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B18WYQDF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Seriously, I have had this Blu Ray player before there was streaming for over 10 years. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B18WYQDF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is the first time we get to see Prue new car the BMW X5. still my favorite car. I remember when I was 13 my dad took me for a test drive in one. they had a tv in the front all the way back than. you couldn't watch it when the car was moving. it's funny how Prue gets a less secure probably lower paying job bet gets a more expensive car. so she went from a Mazda Mx-5 to A BMW X5

I think the problem they had with it, is it seemed to come out of nowhere. Like one minute we see Piper and Leo have their first date and then all of a sudden he’s there all the time to the point he’s eating Phoebe’s cereal. Haha

I think the C storyline of Leo presence in the house being intrusive is grounded in reality for me. The different family interactions is what the show is about and this was a family issue so I don't get why it was described as not real.

I know. It'll be interesting if the tone changes as Drew didn't even mention Phoebe/Alyssa in the first what 35 episodes, ie until recently. When Phoebe's plotlines become the dominant story arcs in S3 onwards it'll look odd if he carries on ignoring the character. But yes I agree with you it is now uncomfortable how a main character is not being talked about and even then not positively.

Drew was absolutely incredible with his interview and analysis of Astral Monkey. 100% on point. I found the review very interesting and insightful. Also Holly’s ability to reflect and critique her own performance even though the episode demonstrated her absolutely incredible acting skills and her depth of emotion. The skill and the mastery to be able to have the audience empathising with Piper’s pain was a testament to Holly. Definitely one of my fave episodes over the years❤️.

It's a really silly film but well made and Holly is great in it. It's a bit of a cookie cutter slasher that's elevated by a crazzzzy villain. I got it on Bluray from Germany but it has the English audio track as an option (far cheaper than the postage from the USA).

2023-09-07 03:24:51 +0000 UTC
I loved the conversation on good/evil & vigilantism! I could definitely sense Piper’s hurt & frustration because she’s the reason this mortal eventually got these powers—along with his own prideful pursuit—and died. I thought Prue and Phoebe were more reserved because he wasn’t trying to save their lives, and they could see the bigger picture. Interesting concept until he started killing, and he clearly fell into the bad category. This is one of my favorite episodes (even if the science is a bit shady lol) because of this idea & the girls basically acknowledging Leo is part of the family now. It’s a 9 for me!
Also, I just want everyone to know that Dr. Giggles is available on digital on basically every digital platform + Blu-Ray. Seems like a good spooky season watch 💜

Love this ep. You guys are so awesome. Having matthew on was definitely a bonus he is awesome. Thank you for all you guys do. This was an emotional episode because if piper returned his calls he might nit have become a victim, but double edged sword is if ahe did would he have kept her like a guinea pig and want to do more test. We only needed A story line I agree. ❤️

In season 1 she saw Melinda Warren cruse Matthew into the locket, while working at Buckland she had vision of a car accident from the past, which facilitate her and Prue reuniting a missing young girl with her mother. She had a vision of the Grimlocks demons holding a young boy hostage. Those are a few few that come to mind.

This episode is a top for me. It really humanized the sisters. Especially Piper. Of course HMC is a phenomenal actress who knows how to hit you right in the feels. My only complaint is them changing the song at the end. Letting The Cables Sleep was the perfect song for that scene.

Another great ep. I agree that the A storyline was stronger/more interesting, but the touching on the paparazzi was kind of interesting - less interested in the character though.
I think Piper’s struggle over the morality of the ‘he was trying to save my life’ and then the way he just go do caught up on things resonated. At the end she mentions that Curtis was so dedicated to saving lives was more important than having a life of his own. Piper is always wanting to have a semblance of ‘a normal life’ and not just be a witch so I felt like that was particularly interesting. Love the scene at the end where Leo comforts Piper 🥺

I too thought they gave up on Dr. Williamson too quickly in this episode. I feel like they didn't even really TRY to look for possible ways to save him. Also, I wish we could have had a scene where Piper visits Curtis' sister in the hospital (after her transplant) to let her know that it was her brother who managed to "find a donor" & save her before he died. That would have been a nice way to honor him.

I believe the first time phoebe sees the past is when she has a premonition about Matthew and Melinda in season 1. It’s addressed that her powers grew and she can now see both the past and future.
I’d also give this episode a 9… i love seeing piper so vulnerable and her caring nature. Piper was always the heart of the show

Dr Fuller , verbose is "using or expressed in more words than are needed", so definitely not this episode of HOH. I would say "semantically rich" ? So many new words today, I made the list : verbose, rampage, dastardly, qualm and ludicrous. Who said TV shows were not helping with vocabulary ?

The last scene was a very powerful moment I thought. Leo did what he needed to do in that moment which was to let the girls handle it and even tho it was hard on piper, Leo was there to comfort her. In later seasons you do see more character development from this episode from piper, so I think they did a great job.
