What was clear to me in this episode is that Shannen should be the one winning Academy Awards. She’s an excellent actress. Elevates everything she does.

2023-08-10 06:21:38 +0000 UTCThis episode had a lot to it. It definitely hit hard on mental health, which wasn't really seen as much at this time. There is still that stigma today, but its definitely gotten better. I'm not sure what I'd rate this one. I do love how Prue kind of found her calling with photography. We do get to see how easy it really is for evil to take hold. We all struggle at some point in our lives and this episode definitely shows that. Even if it was evil magnifying it, we still all have those moments whether we want to admit it or not.

She adored Julian and scenes with him so no surprise she will appear with him (read about her gushing over the kissing scenes hehe). I suppose since the door is open on the podcast she may come in, or not. I know in the entertainment biz there's lots of guessing on things most of us are all too busy with our own personal lives to give much thought about. I'm sure if she wants to be here she will. It's always nice to be appreciated and valued. I'm confident she knows that her fans are here too. 😊

2023-07-28 23:35:20 +0000 UTCI watched a con Q&A panel on YT with Alyssa where she says that Holly had called her to tell her about the podcast (before it started) & that she had an open invitation to go on it & that she would love to if their schedules ever allowed. I think Holly, BK, Drew, Shannen & Rose have remained closer simply because they do more cons together & therefore travel together & spend more time together since Charmed finished. Alyssa tends to do her cons alone (although she is doing one with Julian in Sept & I’m lucky enough to be going - my Charmed autos in my BOS will be complete 😊)

But in reality, we are seeing charmed from a different perspective. We created relationships with the characters, whereas the cast lived it as themselves, with ups & downs & experiences that we never saw. ❤️

This was a good episode, another interpretation on the inner voice conflict that I got was that even though the voice in your head sounds like you, that doesn’t mean it is you. The dark lighter changed his voice and your brain thinks up crazy things. Like Holly mentioned you are not your brain, and a lot of the times your brain will be meaner to you than others. So, treat yourself as you would others with kindness, respect, and grace. Loved all the insights from you guys on this episode and Drew’s tip for mindfulness. In a world that’s constantly moving to the next thing it’s nice to just take a few moments to really be present. I agree with Sando! I am so glad that Brian’s audio is better.

2023-07-27 10:00:21 +0000 UTCThe amazing Mr. Arnold Vosloo - the darklighter was so convincing and frightening - agreed he didn't need to shoot things out of his hands at all! Amazing actor. It would have been cool to have him on as a guest, although if he's living in South Africa now and the time zones might be an issue. Shannen is so amazing in everything - and this episode like the other one John directed, wasn't it P3 H20, delved into so many of our deepest fears and wounds and she nails it every time. (Note on Brian's son - so happy to hear he's on the way on repairs. I call my son the bionic man now (plates and pins in his ankle, pins in tibia, plate and rod in fibula) and yes the bathing issue is really tough. Once his cast is off though he will be able to shower much easier and will be much happier. He was so happy when we got his hair washed and cut in acute care once he was out of ICU. Hang in there dad, you're doing the good work and Jamen will be so much stronger and heal so much faster surrounded by all the love he's getting from family and friends!)

Episode wise - I thought Amy was fantastic - the way she seemed so terrified on the roof 😬 Did wonder how no-one seemed to comment on the sudden sideways falling - that must have looked sus! It was also a treat to see guest stars like Amy Adams, and Arnold Vosloo. Amy was a rising star, and Arnold had just starred in the huge film The Mummy. This will always be a special episode for me. Thank you for the update on Jamen, who remains in the best of healing thoughts. Love to Shannen. Love to all. Keep up the great work. My rating is a solid 10. A standout episode. Plus we get to see Piper and Leo reunite. YEA!!!!

Great talk about the hard issues such as depression, suicide and fears which are very relevant societal issues both at the time this episode was made and now. It was great that this episode approached the topic in a creative but sensitive way very groundbreaking!
