Thalestris vs Demetrios part II

With a great uproar from the spectators in the stands, Demetrios stormed ahead to Thalestris confident of victory. In his primitive mind, failure was not an option. After all, Thalestris turned out to be a much smaller and weaker opponent than he had expected.
Of course, he could not expect that his attacks would not have the intended effect. His opponent turned out to be very fast and agile and easily repelled them.
So fast that it unexpectedly went from defensive to attack. How is it possible? thought Demetrios.
For the grand champion, such a situation was something he has never experienced before. With difficulty he parried a powerful strike of Thalestris, but it practically knocked him down.
