I just want to clarify something. For the vast majority of anime, they are adaptations, so the studio just follow a story already existing (except in some rare cases). The openings exist to present the show and hype it, yes, but it is also a way for the studio to get creative and to flex basically, they can do a lot of cool shit in the opening that they can't do in the episodes, so i would recommend to not be too confused about what they decide to put in them, a lot of the times it's just for vibes and to get creative
