01: Will-O-Wisp
Kachay Vance has been following Smoke ever since her client, Arvid Hussein, told her he was being pressured to help the notorious thug with his rackets. Normally, Shae would simply have reported Smoke's location and activities to the local authorities or, possibly, to one of her older brothers, since she prefers not to engage in vigilante activities, herself. Unfortunately, she discovered that Smoke was operating a child smuggling ring... and he had a sale in the works and ready to deliver.
02: Zed
After Flayre's contemptuous attack on one of Papa Joe's enforcers resulted in injury to an innocent family caught in the crossfire and an attack on responding officers, the Dream Haven Metahuman Threat and Response team put her apprehension on the top of their list of priorities. After consulting with contacts, Zed and his officers set up a sting. They lured Flayre in by disguising one of their own as a potential target while Zed took up a position in a hide nearby. As Flayre approached, the ex-army sniper took careful aim, preparing to drop the dragon-blooded villain with a powerful tranquilizer.
03: Angel
Angel Delacroix, along with her sister, Kat, was part of a Russian attempt to breed metahumans. In her case, they managed, somehow, to mix angelic blood into her DNA; no one knows how it was accomplished, since the facility she was bred into burned to the ground when she and her sister were very young and all the researchers involved in the project suffered unfortunate, improbably, and lethal accidents within days of the facility's destruction. Even though she's still a senior in high school (she doesn't read English well and, as a result, has been held back to complete a remedial course), Angel often takes time to aid people engaged in what she considers to be heroic activities.
04: Heretic and Aristotle
Fugitives from another, significantly more advanced, dimension, Heretic and Aristotle have moved into Dream Haven with the help of Network, Minerva, and Tyche. When Network and Tyche disappeared, Heretic and Aristotle stepped up to help curb the increase in crime in Dream Haven and the West End. Now working closely with the police, they're always welcome in the field, although Captain Jefferson lives in fear of the words, "I improved it!" coming from the hyperactive mustelid's mouth.
05: Kat and Sadie
Sadie Hawkins began training, both fitness and combat, under her Big Sister, Alessia Troisi (the heroine known as Tyche). When Tyche vanished, her training slowed, but Sadie was unwilling to let it go. She enlisted her older friend, Kat Delacroix as a sparring partner and has been dragging her out to Shidoshi Thomas Chao's Women's Self Defense class at the Dream Haven Mixed Martial Arts Training Center. Even when there are no classes, Sadie and Kat like to come here to practice the techniques they learned in classes, such as this sacrifice throw Sadie is applying to Kat with a powerful, acrobatic leap.
06: Apollo
Apollo ran into Lightshow as she was fleeing police after what he assumed was an unsuccessful bank heist. Lightshow took to the air, planning to make a quick escape, as her powers made her difficult for police on the ground to track, but Apollo swept in before she could get away clean, and the battle was joined!
07: Liberty Belle
Sometimes heroes are called to do things other than punch evil in the face; Liberty Belle may not be willing to aid the government, anymore, but she hasn't completely given up her ideals. She heard a child crying and swept in to discover the little girl's cat had gotten out of the house. With a smile, Liberty Belle floated up to the escaped tabby, only to discover the animal was less than happy to be taken from his regal perch.
08: Tyche
This picture of Tyche, somehow sent to us through a Faerie portal, was accompanied only by a brief note in Alessia's own handwriting: "Why me?"
