How did a nice girl from Boston end up in Louisiana?
Xiu's parents sometimes asked her that, and parts of the answer were really easy: Dream Haven, LA, has, bar none, the best graduate campus in the entire USA for metahuman studies, sponsored by their close associations with the local Paragon Academy, the SIAA, and the NSPS. As a girl whose superhuman strength and endurance were, quite simply, not measurable by any current technology, it only made sense for her to enroll in a school where the curriculum and the staff had evolved to cope with the demands she might place on them.
As a simple answer, it made a lot of sense and, generally, served to reassure the vast majority of people who showed any curiosity.
The reality was even simpler, if not as satisfactory to people who worried that the twenty-seven year old graduate student might, someday, lose control and tear a path of destruction through anything and everything she encountered: Xiu was in love and would follow her lover wherever she went.
Xiu met her lover as she stepped into their apartment. Josie still wore her costume, the outfit she'd put on to satisfy the perv on Gable. Xiu knew Josie enjoyed her work as Stormy; it satisfied a deep psychological need to be in control, and Xiu couldn't object to it, since it also defined Josie's relationship with her, but she couldn't help but look on a lot of her lover's clients with a degree of disdain.
Josie stepped into the room, still in her torn shirt and high heeled boots; at just over six feet, it wasn't like Josie needed artificial aids to help her loom over the diminutive Xiu, but there was no question that the nearly-a-foot height advantage afforded by her heels made Xiu wet.
Made them both wet, really.
Josie stepped in close and pulled the shorter girl against herself.
"You've been working out," Josie said, her strong hands roaming along the contours of Xiu's butt and along her back until they rested atop her shoulders. "I like that."
Xiu made a soft sound in her throat, halfway between a growl and a purr. She looked up at her lover, resting her cheek on Josie's chest, eyes hopeful.
"You've been a good kitty, haven't you?" Josie teased, and Xiu smiled and nuzzled even closer.
"You deserve a reward..."

Hui Xiu was designed by @TrentHarlow a while back to be the girlfriend of my playful session girl, Josie "Stormy McThicc" Thompson. Shorter and even more powerful than her lover, Xiu rarely bothers to work out with weights and tends to find casual strength feats to be boring and mundane... not to mention expensive and potentially illegal. Instead, Xiu focuses on exercises that help maintain her conditioning and flexibility, practicing yoga and tai chi.
On a side note, I'd also like to mention that TrentHarlow and ComicBookBabe are offering a special deal to people who commission both of them for the same project; TrentHarlow will make color and ComicBookBabe will bring sound and fury to your idea for 10% off their usual commission prices. For more information, please go to their pages and look at their commission info: Bundle information, ComicBookBabe's commission details, and Trent's specific art commission details.
