Daily sketch #153 // Memoirs

Hey guys, I didn't have a lot of time to work today as I had to run back and forth to cuddle Ambrose, since he has requested mom a lot today.

But I wanted to make sure I finish the daily sketch on time :) So this one is kind of special (I think it shows?). Please welcome the newest member of the Pandora's box tier: the thane.

I think the next few sketches will help you get a good grasp of what he's like and what kind of ideas would work best for him. And I hope you will end up putting some nice, myserious and creative suggestions in the box.

Aksan, I hope you will enjoy the process of fleshing him out :)
Thanks for your help, Void <3

Aksan, who is a wonderful person and and amazing creator (and my editor <3), wrote this short, to make this piece of art whole. I hope you enjoy getting to know the thane as we slowly bring him to life together.
We will try out best to have a short story written by him, accompany all the sketches.

Three weeks for the ink, after two for a large enough quill, and a month waiting on paper. Not excuses left now, court is done for the day, the girls are busy elsewhere.

Time to write.

Time. To. Write.

. . .

Okay. What am I writing?

A beginning. Where else would I start?

Unless . . .

No.

A beginning. But which one?

Some memoirists would start with the circumstances of their birth. I doubt I could offer much help on that. Valinar's treatises are going to be a much better resource than any I could write.

Maybe that's how I start? Recommending Valinar.

No, no. That won't do. Too dry.

Start with my experiences, at the beginning of my life.

But which life? Caspinarch would arguably be my true beginning. Or maybe after the rebirth. How would I even credit my work though?

How about when you became Thane?

That would work. That would work for sure.

Alright then.

A little over three months ago, I arrived, or perhaps I should say I returned, to Castle Caerulea as its Thane.

I admire your dedication to still put out sketches with Ambrose being ill, don't work yourself too hard! But, thank you Lana.
