School Barn Dance part 4

Mr Catnap didn't have to wait long for the next guests to arrive. As he looked out the window he watched as a swanky limo pulled up on the car park. This was quite a motor, sleak, nice curves, little silver ornament of a flying cat on the front, beautiful British Racing Green paintwork - very nice. Catnap looked over at his own battered little hunk of junk parked next to it and felt a little inferior. Just for a second.

The chauffeur got out, walked the ridiculously long distance down towards the rear of the car and opened one of the passenger doors to let the guests out. 

"Well, that beats getting the bus to school!" Sassy said with a huge beam.

"You never complained about the bus before," Kitannie said as she followed her sister out of the car. "I believe his name was Mikey or something wasn't it?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," Sassy said. 

"No, of course not."

"Does this uniform look okay?"

"Sassy, for the tenth time, yes, it's fine! It's great, it's purrfect, it's the same as it is every time you wear it and you know it will go down a treat."

Sassy smiled. "Just checkin'!"

"Come on, let's get inside shall we?" 

They began walking over to the barn doors when Sassy suddenly stopped and pricked up her ears.

"Did you hear that?" She said in a loud whisper.

"Hear what?" Replied Kitannie.

"Thought I heard something over there in those bushes."

Kitannie sighed. "Probably just a bird or something."

Sassy wasn't listening. She was already over by the bushes looking for whatever made the noise she'd heard. Kitannie sighed again and went over to join her.

"Anything?" She asked as she watched her little sister pawing through the undergrowth.

"Not seen anything but I think I did hear something. I swear I did. Sounded really odd."

"Odd?" Kitannie looked puzzled.

"Yeah, like, I dunno, like...like..." Sassy couldn't quite work out what it sounded like. "Like a banjo being strangled!"

"Oh come on Sassy, stop fooling around, I want to get in and enjmmmmphh!!!"

Sassy paused, a look of bemusement on her face. "You wanna get in and wha?"

No reply. 

Without turning round, Sassy shrugged and continued her search for the elusive chocking banjo.

Suddenly, a paw shot out from the bushes and covered her mouth. Another grabbed her tightly around the waist. Two more paws grabbed her legs and lifted her off the ground. She struggled but it was no use. The banjo was going to have to wait.

Inside the barn, to everyone's relief, the "music" had stopped and the only sounds that could be heard were the sounds of creaking ropes, chairs scrapping and clattering against the floor, muffled protests and cries for help and heels being kicked against wood. 

Catnap looked confused. From where he was he could see that the chauffeur of the limo had been to let his passengers out but no one had come in yet. He looked over at the car and the chauffeur was now just sitting there in the driving seat reading a book.

"Wonder where they've got to?" Catnap muttered to himself. 

Just then, the barn doors opened and in walked the guys from the band looking very pleased with themselves. And with good reason.

They lead their captives over to Mr Catnap.

"Aaah there you are!" Said Mr C as the two sisters were presented to him. Both nicely tied and gagged already. He turned to Spit, "I see you guys have save me a job!"

Spit grinned. "Yeah, I was just tuning up me banjo outside when I heard someone snooping around. Didn't want 'em hearing the rehearsals so we had to nab 'em."

Yowl nodded. "Yup. Totally hadn't planned that at all."

Spit agreed. "Nuuu, wasn't in ANY way set up that way just so that we could have some fun catching someone too. Nuu nuu."

"Just, kinda happened by accident," Yowl said with a wicked grin.

"By accident, yeah." Catnap wasn't convinced. "So, what'cha going to do with these lovely ladies now eh?"

Scratch looked around the room and pointed over to two beams over towards the stage.

"Good idea Scratch," said Spit. "C'mon ladies, move it!"

Catnap watched and smiled as the band pushed Sassy and Kitannie over to the beams. 

Clawdia watched as the latest hostages came nearer. Then she became aware of a really icy atmosphere to her left. She glanced over and saw Tabi blushing like crazy and Catrina quietly fuming with a fierce look in her eye. Tabi tried not to look as Kitannie was bound to the beam.

"Cute uniform Kitannie," said yowl as he secured rope around Kitannie's ankles. 

Tabi blushed more. Catrina stared at her and gave her a low growl of disapproval. Clawdia, turned away, wanting to stay out of it.

Before long, the sisters were nicely roped up and the band stepped back to admire their handiwork. 

"Right!" Spit said with a clap of his paws, "Back to rehearsals I think fellas! we have made a decent contribution tonight me thinks!"

The other two nodded, gave each other a high five (well high four) and followed their band leader back outside.

Catnap walked up to Kitannie and Sassy.

"Was kinda looking forward to doing that myself but oh well, they had fun."

"Gggg wwwyyyy," Kitannie mmmphed in defiance.

"Go away?" Catnap smiled. "Nah, not yet. I think there may be one more set of guests to arrive and what kind of host would I be if I weren't here to great them eh?" 

Kitannie glared at him.

"Anyway, I shall let you two get settled in. Enjoy the dance girls!"

Sassy and Kitannie watched him make his way back to the door then started to struggle wondering who the next 'guests' would be....
