Idea Development - Test Post

My mind wanders a lot. Sometimes I develop story ideas that get scrapped before they see words on the page... or word document.

I thought it might be fun to put one or two up here for suggestions, input, and for the giggles.

Shadowrun + Harry Potter :
I woke up this morning with the thought of Harry Potter with a mix of Shadowrun.

For those who don't know, Shadowrun is cyberpunk fantasy set after magic awakens. People change at random from human to orcs, dwarves, and all that. It's an RPG system that's been around for a while.

How it would work:
It would be a story where Harry is summoned/ends up in another dimension. Voldemort, Death Eaters, The Order of the Phoenix, and all that but different.

In Shadowrun, Corporations run the world. To adjust it would be 'Companies' which are alliances between Houses that three or so. They would each work to their own goals, have their own sphere of influence, and commercial aspect. Herbology, Alchemy, Enchanting, and such. The companies would have a treaty where they can't outright attack each other so they turn to Freelancers.

Voldemort is using his power to combine and control Companies. This rise in power would threaten to destabilize everything. Plus, there is the entire killing entire families.

Harry would have been summoned as the 'Champion' to save things. Insert adjusting to new world, new technology, and a world where magic isn't secret.

NOTE-
This isn't a story I'm going to start writing now. If it's popular I might start after I've finished a couple of stories already in rotation. This is just for fun.
