✨Snowy and Dakota stands design process✨

Snowy’s stand: Their name is “Poor Leno” after the song by Röyksopp. When designing stands, I didn’t solely humanoid ones, and poor Leno came from that notion. Being inspired by both the character in the music video for this song, and this sorta obscure drawing araki did of Pooh bear, I combined the two to make this little guy. I consider him almost like a metal furnace like voodoo doll. Personality wise I think Poor Leno can come off as lifeless, but they are actually very timid and shy in nature. Poor Leno is still a wip, but the basic idea for their stand power is when it gets hurt it can heal their user, or inflict the pain onto others. So most of the time Poor Leno will purposely take bigger hits for its user in order to defend their user and or, heal/inflict pain. I try to go into detail on how exactly the power works, please excuse the messy writing. I usually never intend for others to see my sketchy sheets LOL 

Dakota’s stand: Their name is ”Redbone” after the band. The design itself is based off native Totem poles, there isn’t many super tall stands? (Besides maybe buildings/object stands) so I thought I’d be an interesting design. Also thematically Dakota having a stand that’s a traditional Native American art piece seems very fitting. Redbone can de-attach into multiple parts and reattach at will. I think Redbone also has a bit of a personality, being inherently curious about it’s surroundings. For it’s power, it can manipulate bones themselves. Change their shape, density, etc. So Dakota usually uses this power on himself to make tools out of his own bones, he can even de-attach and reattach limbs just like his stand. He can control bones, but he can’t control his skin, organs, etc so he has to be mindful when using his power cause he could accidentally hurt himself really badly if he isn’t careful.  

I don’t think I’ll go into as much detail for all stand designs I’ve made, cause I do want some secrets for the story itself to be a surprise. But seeing Snowy and Dakota are allies and their stands are shown early, I think it’s no harm no foul to share this here 💜💜💜
