⭐️Quiet’s stand design process⭐️
Added 2021-10-21 19:45:35 +0000 UTCDesigning Shizuka’s humanoid stands look was difficult. I know there are some popular designs out there, but those are made by artists as well. So lifting their designs, just so I could use them in stories, felt wrong, instead I decided to take the task of making my own interpretation of her stand.
Originally I was gonna base her stand off an animal, first was a Chamaeleon (which gave the design this almost dragonball villain vibe) then I moved to a jellyfish. These animals can technically “go invisible” by blending into their surroundings. I was for awhile ok with the jellyfish look, but it felt almost cheap to me.
Like a cop-out easy design. So I changed her stand to more resemble the “invisible man“ with bandages covering the body. Mixed with something like ultraman or a power rangers. Shizuka stand is fully invisible even to other stand users, but a cloth wraps around her body to give it, it’s shape. I thought this look was far more interesting to draw, and genuinely write about. I’m still not fully finished her design, and I still haven’t picked a name for them (if I’ll change it or not), etc. But I am happier with this look, and I feel it’ll more or less stay similar to this design
