Cops Chase and Arrest Carjacking Suspects
Added 2023-01-09 17:24:59 +0000 UTCAtlanta, Georgia – On December 27, 2022, officers with the Atlanta Police Zone 3 Crime Suppression Unit attempted to stop a vehicle that was stolen at gunpoint earlier in the day. The passenger inside the stolen vehicle attempted to flee on foot, but Ofc. Connell was able to quickly apprehend the suspect after a foot pursuit and utilizing his taser. The driver of the vehicle surrendered and was apprehended by Ofc. Tabor. Officers recovered two loaded firearms on the scene. The driver was identified as 19-year-old Terrique Simpson. Simpson was charged with Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, Hijacking a Motor Vehicle, and various traffic offenses. The passenger was identified as 18-year-old Larenzo Turner. Turner was charged with Willful Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers.
