Suspect Crashes Car Trying to Flee from Police

Atlanta, Georgia – On September 2nd, 2022 at approximately 11:08PM, Georgia State Patrol attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Allene Ave. and Brookline St. SW. After the stop was initiated, the driver refused and instead fled from officers. Atlanta Police Department’s Air Unit (Phoenix) was overhead and able to maintain a visual of the vehicle as he led GSP on a pursuit throughout Southwest Atlanta before eventually crossing into East Point. A short time later, the driver lost control of the vehicle and wrecked at the intersection of Main St. and Connally Dr. At that time GSP was able to take the suspect into custody without incident.
