Kidnapping Suspect Tries To Hide Under a Car

Seattle, Washington State – On August 24th, 2022, the Seattle Police Department received a 9-1-1 call regarding a domestic violence related child abduction. The suspect had a history of violent behavior and had recently and illegally purchased a handgun, which he used to threaten the child and his mother. Unbeknownst to the suspect, SPD officers were able to locate him and the child. Officers observed from a distance waiting for the safest opportunity to retrieve the child and take the suspect into custody. With the help of the King County Air Support Unit, SPD Officers were able to approach the suspect undetected, catching him off guard. The suspect then abandoned the child and ran. SPD patrol and k-9 officers were able to locate the suspect, hiding under a SUV and safely took him into custody without any injuries or loss of life.

@Bryn I wondered the same thing. There seemed to be a gap in the video. Something seemed a little odd in that one.
