I saw this method done for this video: https://vimeo.com/174927295I decided to give it a shot because I use flat shading on faces anyway. I had to screw around with my compositing nodes to remove some unwanted outlines, otherwise it worked flawlessly!Since my next project will be more dialogue heavy I might end up using the flappy anime mouths. I've always ideally wanted this style but didn't think of this method on my own. I even tried having shape keys for side view mouths but that was hell to animate.I'm gonna keep messing around with stuff like this until I'm 100% happy with the way it looks and animates. Small updates like this will continue to be available for patrons pledging $2 or more.
