Working on a cool story... anyone seen Altered Carbon?

In a world in which our souls are detached from our body, it seems like there's be a pretty good career for people to "rehab" bodies. Take a fat, out of shape, poor health body and buy it for cheap then spend a year getting it in shape and healthy then sell for a profit.
That got me thinking that maybe a cool erotica angle would be for someone to train a body for special "skills"... in particular, teaching the body to suppress the gag reflex or enjoy anal sex or something similar. I'm about halfway through but curious if
A) that sounds interesting and
B) If you guys have any ideas for plot threads that might work in that setting beyond what I've already considered.

If you're interested in researching this, take a look at a role playing game - think D&D not Fifi the maid - called "Eclipse Phase". Covers a whole lot of that kind of thing, and a whole lot more besides. This is one trope that came out of something called 'Transhumanism'. Humanism is all about living up to the best you can given human limits. Transhumanism is humanism, but let's use our technology to improve beyond those human limits. (There are other definitions out there, that's the one closest to Altered Carbon IMO)
