Charging up front

Hey there, a short info about a minor change. Starting today, all my Patrons will be charged up front. For those of you who are already pledging, nothing will change, but for those of you who are new to my Patreon, this will mean that access to the spoilers and polls etc. will only be granted after payment has been verified, and not immediately.

For the longest time I had thought that pledging to me would include a commitment to at least one payment (you pledge, pay at the end of the month, after that you can cancel). But this isn't the case. You could pledge, get access to all spoilers, and then cancel before the end of the month - and not pledge anything as a result while still seeing all spoilers. The same would be true for people pledging with a wrong creditcard or another phony method. Only after the next payment-cycle at the end of the month it would be clear if payment actually came through.

There were a few people abusing this system for my Patreon as well, but it weren't so many that I had thought action would be necessary, so I didn't change anything. After introducing the Designer-pledge and polls though, things got a bit more difficult. There were people submitting designs and casting votes without actually pledging anything. After the last payment cycle I had to manually go through all polls again to see who voted and which votes had to be discarded. Luckily, it didn't change any of the results, but since some polls were quite close, it could very well do so in the future. So to make sure that doesn't happen, I've changed the payment to up front. Hope you guys can understand.
