What a month! August 24

Sooo, here we are, another month has passed, and this one brought A LOT with it.

First of all, I’m thrilled to welcome 14 newcomers! You’ve found a great place. This is my monthly digest, WHAM, or What a Month!, where I ramble about everything interesting that happened over the past month and my plans for the near future.

Month artwork

It’s becoming a tradition to reflect on the artwork I’ve completed throughout the month, and oh boy, there was so much art this time that I can hardly believe it. No wonder I’m so exhausted! 😅

Circus!

Now, onto something huge. I usually save the most important topic for the end of the digest, but I JUST CAN’T WAIT TO SHARE THIS! In the last WHAM (https://www.patreon.com/posts/what-month-july-109458446), I mentioned that I was in business discussions with real circus owners—the Vardanyan Brothers. They were on Britain’s Got Talent with their incredible performance, and it’s a really fun show—check it out (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIYzAXJ5LTI)! I got to see it live, and the quality and danger involved are just superb. So, I’m thrilled to announce that the circus now has my poster! Here is a photo with me, the real poster, and the Vardanyan Brothers themselves! It’s official—there’s now a two-meter-tall piece of my artwork out in the world! It’s way taller than me, guys! Oh, my gosh!

Pins

My first batch of pins is almost here! They’re already at Armenian customs, so I really hope I’ll have them in hand next week. This will be a limited collection of 100 pins featuring my Shibari mermaid. They’ll be sold in some local pin shops in Yerevan and in my online shop. Worth mentioning—everything in my shop comes with free worldwide delivery.

Stickers

Continuing my sales pitch (a girl’s gotta earn, right?), stickers will be coming to my shop in September. The first design will be the keyhole art (with some slight tweaks for better sticker quality—https://www.patreon.com/posts/keyhole-110010502). At first, they’ll be regular stickers, but transparent and glittering versions are on the horizon, along with other artworks. So stay tuned!

Cutter and color printing

And a bit about gadgets! This month, I got a Cricut machine, which can basically cut anything, so it’s like printing with blades 😍, and a professional color laser printer, so I can produce my own stickers “in da house!” I have a lot of plans, but more on that in future WHAMs.

Patreon updates

I’ve revised my Patreon benefits to make them more appealing to current and new patrons.

What’s changed

The $1 tier (and all tiers above, of course!) now has 7-day early access for any artwork published on Instagram (exceptions apply to some collab artwork because I’m not the only one in charge). Plus, there’s at least one fully exclusive artwork every month (there were actually two in August 😁).

The $5 tier now has a special and permanent 10% discount on everything in my shop. I’ll post a promo card for $5 patrons a bit later—sorry, guys, it’s still in production. But any of you can DM me on Insta or Patreon for the code if you need it 😘.

The $10 tier—guys, you are definitely the most awesome people in my world, but you still have the same benefits because I CAN’T COME UP WITH SOMETHING COOL AND INTERESTING (YET). So I have a special request for each of my patrons at all tiers. What benefits would motivate you to switch to the $10 tier? Let me know, I’m all ears 😌.

Plans for Inktober and Pinuptober

For those who don’t know, Inktober and Pinuptober are annual artist challenges that take place in October. Special accounts run the challenges and announce daily themes for the month. You can (but don’t have to) create art based on the theme of the day. I first participated in Inktober way back in 2018, and that was the year I COMPLETED THE ENTIRE CHALLENGE. Seriously, I finished a piece every single day for 31 days (in ink! on real paper!). What a time that was, guys!

Over the years, I’ve tackled the challenge to varying degrees of success. 2021 was pretty great because I got featured on Day 5 of the official Inktober account.

In 2023, I switched to the Pinuptober challenge by Deuza_art because I had fully embraced my pinup style, so it was a natural shift for me.

Enough nostalgia—let’s get back to the present. This year, I’m planning to participate mostly in Pinuptober again, and the themes have already been published. But I might also tackle some Inktober themes along the way, in black and white, but in my pinup style. Let’s see how it goes :)

Aaand what is it, for now, see you in the next WHAM 😍
