What a month! March 24

Whoa, what a month!

Hello, everyone! As always, I want to extend a special welcome to the 7 newcomers who joined my Patreon this month. Be my guests, don't be shy, and feel free to ask me anything in the Community section :) This is my monthly digest, where I share the happenings of the month, what I was able to achieve and create, and so on.

Well, what do I have today for you?

This WHAM (my abbreviation for the "What a Month!" series, by the way, 😜) turned out to be pretty huge, so here's a list of the covered themes:

What was done

I could say that my involuntary hiatus in February was compensated by a pretty fruitful March. Here's a list of public arts, and it is without an awesome pair of commissioned Balloon Girls (check them out, if you missed it - https://www.patreon.com/posts/balloons-girl-100877585). There was a huge response to the art on Instagram, but March was also a silent battle with Instagram over my depictions of nudity. I got flagged a few times and Instagram shadow-banned me (meaning they wouldn't show my posts to anyone but my subscribers, which is nice, but without the recommendation system, no one new will discover my work). So, I had to remove the disputed pictures, which is really sad, but - they're still here on Patreon! I was also flagged on Patreon, which made me realize that I can't make a public post with nudity on Patreon as well. What a bummer with modern morals and guidelines.

Continuation of Card Project

I managed to do a sketch and 1 completed card this month. Not so much, but considering all the other work I did this month, I am glad I was able to do at least 1 and a half :)

Live drawing session with a beautiful standup artist as a model

I was again at a live drawing session (it's becoming a usual thing and it makes me really happy). This time we drew a stunning woman, a real comedian (stand-up artist), and it was a pleasure to draw her. She really liked one of my sketches (the first one here) and asked me to give it to her - "this is the best thing that can be, and it's something to keep, watch, and sigh at in old age." What a pleasure :)

Unexpected participation in Easter street art fest

And now for the most fun part. After leaving the drawing session, I went for a walk in the center of Yerevan with my family. We heard some loud music and went to check out the source. It turned out to be a mass street art performance where a lot of artists were painting giant gypsum eggs. Just out of curiosity, we found the organizers and asked if I could participate. All I had were my brushes from the drawing session because watercolors definitely weren't the suitable material for the artwork. The organizers were super generous and even lent me acrylic paints, and here's what I did.

Oh my god, drawing a naked girl in the center of Yerevan, I still can't fully believe it happened!

That's it for now, see you in the next WHAM!
