What a month! January 24

Whoa, what a month!

My January has been a month of significant milestones and unexpected turns. Starting with gratitude, I welcomed five new patrons, a delightful affirmation of support and belief in my work. I'm glad to welcome every newcomer; your support energizes me.

New Year - New place to live. The move to a new apartment further marked the beginning of this vibrant month. My new living space, with its expansiveness, abundant light, and lofty ceilings, feels like a canvas waiting for strokes of imagination. The best part? I can now position my easel near the window, blending the offline art creation process with the precision of digital techniques. There's an invigorating energy here, urging me to craft and bring ideas to life in ways I've only dreamed of. But I already have some ideas, more about it below πŸ˜‰

However, the path of creativity often presents its quirks. A sudden blocking of my Oompa Loompa post on Instagram left me surprised (to say mildly). Was the issue tied to the Wonka franchise or the playful use of "boobs" in my Patreon teaser? The answer remains a mystery, but after a successful appeal, the post was unblocked. A reminder of the unpredictable nature of social media platforms, yeah.

This month also introduced my first sponsored promotion from an adult toy brand, opening up new avenues for creative collaboration. It's an exciting venture into previously unexplored territories. And, as a quirky aside, it's a pretty interesting addition to my home's interior πŸ˜…

Commission work has been both a pleasure and a challenge, with five projects full of unique and captivating ideas. I hope some of the clients will publish the artworks online later, so I can show them to the public (and you first, guys). I've decided to focus on completing the remaining two in February and close commissions for now, allowing myself a well-deserved pause to recharge and gather inspiration.

Sadly, this month also brought my first experience with a client failing to pay, leaving me with three artworks in a state of uncertainty. I'm considering sharing these pieces on Instagram – what are your thoughts?

I've completed and am preparing for the publication of my upcoming interview in PUL&P Magazine, which I hope is scheduled for February. It will feature an exclusive artwork. Sharing my journey and insights in such a special way feels incredible, and the magazine's editor is absolutely gorgeous!

Self Production

I've decided to move away from using Redbubble as my shop platform, seeking greater control over pricing and quality to deliver the best art products I can. In February, I'll start a self-publishing project with an old friend, hopeful to see our first samples in the coming month.

Card Project

My artistic exploration has led me to create an artwork that captures the essence of the King of Spades. Drawing inspiration from the Northern Renaissance, I've envisioned a character that embodies the era's distinct beauty and the complex nature of royalty, complete with a fashionable beret that I find myself enviously admiring πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ¨

Reflecting on January, it's been a rich tapestry of growth, challenges, and creative fulfillment. As I look to the future, I'm energized by the support of my patrons, the new paths unfolding before me, and the lessons this month has imparted. What a month, indeed.
