Write Night: Catwoman/Storm

Inspired by new crossover comics the Fat Fiction Corner had the prompt of a crossover short. Here was my submission!

It was an out of the box job, some upper class club was expanding into Gotham City, looking to move into the East End territory. Even just the name didn’t inspire confidence, Hellfire. But to any law abiding citizen this expansion was a legal one. Fortunately one particular thief didn’t care for legality.

Squeezing out of the window with all her might, Selina Kyle, also known as the Catwoman, had managed to sneak in and grab several documents that would allow the Hellfire Club to mark their territory on Gotham along with plenty of sparkling goodies that caught her eye. Leaping off the building the nearly eight-hundred-pound cat burglar’s body rippled through the air, the winds being gracious enough to carry her to the other side of the building. She turned to land on her heavy backside, creating her own natural cushion.

Smiling at the briefcase in hand, Catwoman started getting up once she noticed the sudden rain and thunder. It was odd, she counted on clear weather tonight so this change should have been impossible unless-

KRAKOOM

Selina’s thoughts were cut off by lightning as she turned to see a large dark shadow in the sky. And it wasn’t the Batman she was used to, nor any of his brats. This woman was far larger than even the other rotund rouges in the city. And she was floating up in the sky!

Storm, secretly known as Ororo Munroe, of the X-men had been stationed to watch over the Hellfire Club’s exploits noticing an unusual figure exiting the building she took the liberty to investigate further.

While Catwoman’s figure sent its own message, one that being the greatest thief in the world could afford to get as big as she liked and still be efficient, this woman sent a very different one. That this was no mere mortal, this was eight hundred and eighty pounds of pure power, a typhoon of brown flesh adorned in a costume that left nothing to imagination with the black bodysuit showing off her meaty sides while her belly dug into the gold ring connecting her top and bottom. Catwoman was definitively a pear but Storm was pure fat all over. She was more than a mutant, she was practically a goddess! And she certainly had the body of one!

So Selina just continued staring at the behemoth of a woman, “Holy moly, new to Gotham miss?” she said nervously.

Storm’s eye crackled with lightning, “Listen here little cat, I don’t know your allegiance but you’re either in league with the Hellfire club or just a common thief. How fried you may be when turned in to the authorities is up to where you stand.”

As a bolt struck mere feet away from Catwoman’s position, she could see that the massive mutant meant that quite literally.

“Woah hey, I’m trying to stop the Hellfire Club from invading the East End I swear,” Selina shouted all while trying to run away from her unexpected saboteur, “If you could turn down the light show maybe I could explain myself better!”

As a gust of wind blasted towards Catwoman, the force of nature actually lifted the heavyweight woman off her feet! She was turned around to face Storm as she descended, placing her foot on the thief’s ample bosom adding even more weight for Catwoman to lug around. Failing to stand upright, the fat cat fell back on her back as Ororo had her by the boot.

The larger heroine started to speak, something about a professor who could probe the truth out of her, when a group of men surrounded the pair, they were dressed in blue uniforms with red gear while all adorned white masks with blank expressions. A barrage of stun blasts were aimed at the two women, immediately sending them into a state of unconsciousness.

Catwoman and Storm awoke in cages, the bar walls were restrictive and didn’t allow the two sizable supers much room to move. The corpulent cat burglar looked over to Storm and she was shocked as the woman who was once so imposing and powerful looking seemed to be panicked out of her mind at the tight space.

But outside the cages was a feast, soldiers, and one massive woman. She looked to be a bit bigger than Ororo but dressed in an all black dominatrix outfit, her black hair was slicked back save for some loose strands that contrasted her own pale skin. With the research Catwoman had done beforehand, she guessed this figure was the Black Queen of the club, also known as Selene Gallio.

Selina hoped this wouldn’t get confusing.

The Black Queen spoke up while lounging in her throne, “Seems we have some intruders. I’m familiar with the one they call Storm. You however are quite new. Are you a mutant?”

“I wouldn’t say that, I just train well and eat well, girl like you should know how it is,” Selina answered back slyly.

Selene giggled, “Oh you’re going to be fun. Well still kill you for trespassing but I like to play with my food. And I do mean that literally.”

The situation seemed to get more intense as Catwoman wondered what she could have meant by that. Shockingly the next moment the two cages opened and the fat women practically spilled out to the floor. Selene just smiled as a digit reached her temple, “But I want some more meat on you before I drain your life force…so eat each other to your doom.”

Just then both were taken over with a telepathic probe, Selina was experiencing a hunger unlike anything she felt before. She was remembering memories she’d never had, running through the streets of some other country, it looked like Egypt? Selina felt like she was starving, she looked at some bread and butter if she could reach for it…

Ororo went from feeling terrified out of her mind to oddly confident, like she pulled off a grand heist and needed to reward herself. After a lifetime of nothing, its what she deserved, no? Ororo dug into the cakes, knowing whatever they could do to her waistline it would be immaterial to her line of work.

In the real world the two were actually gorging on the platters of food laid before them, their own hunger at their core feeding others’ appetite. Selene was licking her lips as she saw their energies grow, especially the human’s. But they could grow even more…

Ororo felt proud of herself, a thief akin to her that could get as far as she liked? And still retain her title? It felt too good to be true! But of course it had to be. Ororo was remembering the years spent growing up without a family to take care of her, no money or food. This life was all she wanted. It felt…familiar.

Meanwhile Selina was consumed, as she felt like years went by she discovered if she was going to eat like a goddess it was befitting she be worshipped like one! She would provide for her people but with all their offerings who was she to refuse? So she continued eating more and more and more…

This was wrong! Ororo knew this wasn’t her life. It may have been similar but there were so many details wrong. She wasn’t Catwoman, she was Storm! While her core had some changes deep down she felt she was the same! Ororo fought back, trying to break the illusion. And Selene was catching on.

Selina was being crowned, surrounded by friends(?), enemies(!) and worshippers alike (?!) all pouring food down her throat. Every opportunity for another bite was taken. She felt herself expand more and more, until a scream from the outside was heard.

Selina awoke to see Ororo crawling towards her captor. She looked stuffed, but still inched towards the vampiric telepath. Catwoman tried to do the same but not only was she being held by the Hellfire minions, but her belly was so full it was spreading on top of the table! If it wasn’t being held up it would surely hit the floor…

As Ororo swiped a knife she pushed over the enemy mutant and held the weapon to her neck (or at least the fifth chin). Once she got a clear enough head, Storm used her powers to break through the ceiling above. The Hellfire goons made a break for it, giving the stuffed Selina room to look around. She spotted her briefcase, telling Ororo of it's urgency.

Storm measured her option, summoning a small hurricane to lift her and Catwoman out while the Black Queen struggled to escape against the falling rubble.

With some instructions the pair had gotten to one of Catwoman’s safe houses. Which gave her time to properly digest.

“I don’t think I’ve eaten that much in my life! Certainly more than my first heist reward…” Selina exclaimed as she lay on bed rubbing her belly.

Ororo laughed, now dressed out of uniform,”I’m familiar. It seems we have more in common than we thought.”

Selina shrugged, “Now you’re just making me feel sorry for myself. But maybe this stuffing got me as heavy as you? That’d be something.”

“You’d be pleased with that wouldn’t you? I can’t imagine your pride, being able to be a great thief at your size.”

“Well. That’s not all of it isn’t it. You saw it, I saw it. All of this is just payback on the world that tried to starve us and leave us for dead,” Selina lamented.

The mutant heroine pondered, “Perhaps it started out that way, perhaps we let ourselves get caught up in that feeling but one thing’s clear. We both know what’s truly important and that’s helping others.”

The currently immobilized cat burglar knew all too well, finishing her sentence, “We have these bodies so we can be fulfilled with our own lives, but we leave room for those close to us? Don’t we?”

Ororo rubbed shoulders with the fellow thief, “Yes, but I think you could stand to open up more to those close to you. Just a suggestion.”

Selina laughed, “I’ll think about it. You could be one of them if you like. We could initiate that closeness if you get me breakfast and rub this all in.”

Storm giggled, getting up to feed yet another Kitty in her life, hopefully this one would be just as good a friend
