Kory and MJ’s Catch-up (Short)

*Aboard the Sister's Eye*

Koriand'r of Earth 21981 floated through the entrance portal to her newfound Alliance's headquarters, the Titan-sized alien coming for a check-in report. She had hoped that her recent change in stature would go unnoticed by most of the guests. While it was true that Kory was consistently one of the bigger heroines in the multiverse (for some unexplainable reason), a recent run-in with her old enemy, Deathstroke, had left her over sixty pounds lighter than her last meet-up at the Infinity Feast. Since then, her friends Kendra and Jessica had covered for her while Kory recovered from the incident.

Starfire hadn't gotten to eight hundred pounds again yet, but not for a lack of trying, especially with her husband's help. But her distinctive bell-shaped figure still drew attention to herself, multiple other heroines taking at least a second to stare at the alien beauty's many rolls. But Kory didn't notice them over her sulking. But there was one thing that broke through her mood, a familiar voice she didn't get to hear often, but one she cherished nonetheless!

"Kory! Oh my gosh, hey! It's been too long!" called Mary Jane Watson, a look at the redhead confirmed she was indeed the one Starfire met back last Christmas. She wasn't suited up but was still sauntering like a superhero nonetheless! The massive model weighed over eight hundred and sixty pounds, Kory's original weight, and she didn't let it stop her from living larger than life! She wore a loose dress, likely to accommodate her pregnancy. MJ waddled over for a hug, squeezing her interdimensional buddy as hard as she could!

Of course, after that, she noticed Kory's changes.

MJ backed up, looking over Kory's smaller (still huge) body, "Holy macaroni, do I have the right Starfire?"

Kory laughed, "No, I'm the one, I just. Had a rough time recently."

"Musta, hard to believe any of us could actually manage to *lose* weight, I know my Jessica would kill for that. Can't imagine why," MJ joked.

"I couldn't even help her with that, she hasn't come back to train with me since our first match!" Kory replied, thinking back to that fun memory of tossing Spider-Woman across the gym after being asked to help with her workout routine.

MJ pointed to the directions to the cafeteria, "Wanna talk it out over lunch? Or are you too busy?"

Kory figured she could spare a minute or two...

Minutes later, the two round redheads were sitting at a table that was covered in food. There wasn't an inch that wasn't covered by a platter or glass, as was necessary to satisfy them both. During so, Kory had explained her recent plight. MJ actually had to stop eating at some parts to take in what she was saying properly.

"This Slade guy sounds like he could give a whole bunch of Peter's bad guys a run for their money. I'm so sorry you had to go through that, Kory," MJ said with sympathy.

Kory sipped on a milkshake, "I have gone through worse before in my life," she would have gone for another sip had MJ not held it against the table.

"That doesn't make it all right, though, seriously. I had to live without Peter for two whole weeks because of one nutjob stealing his costume and...My point is that these things are allowed to hurt. No matter how you scale that pain," MJ said to her friend. Which shocked Kory, this woman seemed so aloof and ready to party. But now she could see some semblance of a shared pain between the two.

Starfire got off her seat and walked behind MJ to hug her, "Thank you, that means a lot. I'm sorry for what you and your lover have to go through at home."

Mary Jane patted her friend's hand while rubbing the top of her stomach, "It's hard, but the benefits are more than worth it."

Starfire sat back down in her seat whilst her eating mate across the table rubbed her hands together, "Now lets get you back into shape, I missed us being on equal ground!" MJ said.

Kory laughed nervously, "That would be a lot of food to eat quickly..."

MJ smiled, "Exactly!"

Stephanie tapped her foot, an action Lena would have done if her legs were at all functional at the moment. Wiggling her toes under her show would have to do for now; waiting for Starfire was taking longer than expected. The two were about to call the PA system until they heard two pairs of thundering footsteps.

MJ was helping Kory waddle over, not even fly since she was too winded, and the other two went wide-eyed. Starfire's stomach was stuffed beyond belief, reaching well past her knees and losing the double rolls in the process. Having the two women in the same room, it was apparent that the alien's belly had distended to the point it was on equal footing to the immobile Lena Luthor (provided she was on an empty stomach)

Kory sat down on a nearby bench while Mary Jane explained how she led Kory to a detour through the cafeteria and ended up giving most of her portions to the alien blob before them now.

Stephanie tried not to drool at the sight while asking necessary questions about the status of her Earth, recent villain encounters, and any personal developments. All of which Kory answered in a half-conscious slog of words. After completing the report, Lena asked Kory to see the medical wing to calm down. Which meant MJ had to help her friend transport her gargantuan body once again. Which wasn't easy for the fatter woman.

Kory didn't really need any medical checkups, she thought, but it was nice to sit down and get rubs from medical bots. Smushing next to MJ, who still marveled at the sight of the belly she managed to get stuffed to the point it was inching towards the floor...The food and weight would distribute itself throughout the rest of the Tamarean's body eventually, but for now, it was just a matter of making Kory comfortable. Beth Chapel (Dr. Mid-Nite of another Earth, recruited at the Infinity Feast) was trying not to stare at the digestive process of an alien with acute differences on the inside. But all those stomachs... There was one particular bit that caught her eye, however.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, I can't really help it with X-ray powers, but do you happen to be pregnant?" Mid-nite asked.

MJ answered, "Yes, just a couple of months, though! Why do you see twins? Was Gwen right all along?"

Mid-nite laughed nervously, "Actually, I was asking...Starfire."

Kory was about half-awake a moment before. Now, she was perked up and wide-eyed and AWAKE.

MJ looked at her friend, and Kory blushed.

"Call Dick over here," Starfire ordered, "And in the meantime give me all the advice you can. Please."

Mary Jane bust a (figurative) gut laughing, seeing they got busy after a hard time with their husbands...Their friendship was about to get a whole lot more interesting...
