Girlfriend thinks boyfriend is cheating because he's been "working late" a lot the last few months and saw him going in to a random house and spending hours there before coming home. She confronts him and turns out he secretly bought it and has been fixing it up for them to move in together. For thoughtfulness and proof to back his claim he mentions that's why he had asked her what kind of kitchen/bathrooms/etc. she liked over that time. Maybe throw in a marriage proposal idk
