For the 1st tutorial of the year, we are thrilled to announce that joining us this month is Sheng Lam! For those who are unfamiliar with Shengs' work, he's currently a Concept Artist working at Cloud Imperium Games on Star Citizen. You can find many of his artworks on his ArtStation: https://www.artstation.com/shenglam
In this session, Sheng takes us through his design process of designing a civilian mech vehicle. As you'll learn, it takes a lot to make a civilian vehicle look cool, since you do not have the luxury of adding military weapons & features which almost instantly add the 'cool factor' to most designs.
Starting off with a base block-out, you'll find that you can switch your mindset to focusing on design, rather than having to switch back and forth considering the shapes, form, perspective, and proportion. Breaking down your process into multiple phases is beneficial to allow you to focus on one aspect of your design at a time.
This video releases next week! Lock in your pledge by January 17th for access to this video + 30% off previous sessions! Thanks for the amazing support, and more announcements coming soon!
