Current State of Patreon
Added 2018-06-29 15:34:20 +0000 UTCFor those who don't know, Patreon has now started shutting down accounts even though they follow the written guildlines.
These accounts seem to be linked to "Sexual" topics. And if that seems like a disturbingly broad definition, that's because it is.
I have seen accounts that offer drawings of full frontal nudity and sexual acts stay available, while accounts featuring things as banal clothed pin-ups of original characters are taken down.
This is a hug setback for creators who found freedom of expression and finance.
As you can see this has not effected me, but if the current trends holds, it could just about effect anyone.
I just giving you a heads sup, because I will be watching this situation very closely and I hope you will too.

I have seen one person 1 person I patreon and know 2 others through discord that have had this happen. Apparently the root issue is NSFW content (or what they consider NSFW) being posted publicly even if the page is marked as NSFW. As long as any content that might be NSFW is restricted to patreons only you will not get torn down, and if you do restricting any posted NSFW content to patreons only fixed the issue in all cases I know of.
