Ask us patrons for ideas on what each member of the group you'd be writing about during the Masquerade party mixer what crazy thing they would do to try and gain everyone else's attention. With the caveat put in that you might not use any idea but you're still looking anyway and to make them good crazy ideas that would be logical for those characters to decide to do that matches up with their personalities. Just an idea even though it's a late idea! Good Brayden chapter! Something tells me the next chapter is going to be from someone elses point of view who is standing close enough to Braydens idea when it kicks off, hears the commotion, looks over, sees a body go airborne and thinks WTF!!! what the hell is going on over there!!! And tries to get closer or decides to stay faaar away from WHATEVER is going on over there. Unless of course, they're someone that was in the same arena at the same time as Brayden and Erek when they decided to have their tossing contest during the melee. Then they would have a good idea about who they would find tossing mages at the Masquerade party mixer.

Once he has their attention, he could propose some .... entertainment. I'll bet some of them would love to spice things up. Some to alleviate boredom, some to make Vivian look worse, some to take a breath of fresh air and take advantage of the masquerade to take a break from the burdens of attention and propriety. Given they're all about rank 8 they're probably one of the only peoples there that can get absolutely fkng YEETED and be totally 100% ok. They'd probably find it fun, like when you're a kid and your dad is flinging you around in the water or up in the air. It IS something of a party, after all. What might start as a horror to Vivian trying to keep things under control ... if people actually have fun with it maybe she can turn it around to be a positive. Heh. I can just imagine all the biggest and toughest mages (... the ones that can handle it essentially) lining up to get flung purely for the exhiliration of feeling small again. Oh sure if you're already small you'll often dream of being big and tall and strong. But to the people that are already too tall and big for anyone to have picked them up past childhood? Its a novel and nostalgic experience. I'm a big guy. Almost noone can pick me up. If some monstrously manly guy with muscle-mountains wanted to throw me (and I actually had the durability for it, of course) I'd give it a go at least once for sure
