Although, compared to something like controlling the beyond... maybe it could be an 8th or 7th rank power? 7th feels too low... we've seen some of what they can do, and it's powerful, but not that ludicrous...

2026-01-18 13:33:21 +0000 UTCStrange facts: 1. Noah does not need the violin. Somehow, his "main" consciousness believes he does, though. 2. Noah-3 (a.k.a. Spider) doesn't need the violin to use Formations. He can just pull them out of thin air. 3. With Hollow Symphony, the process of casting a Formation has been automated. He no longer needs to focus when playing the violin, and the activation time has been greatly reduced. Basically, Noah-1 is just operating on a permanent, mentally-imposed nerf. When next we see Noah-3 in battle, it's gonna be mental!

Lets not forget. The Violin allows Noah to use multiple runes at the same time. He just does not know how to do it yet. Last time he tried he got 2? max 3 at the same time.

I think he is gonna learn that he is a huge anomaly, that there are more ppl in rank 6 and 7 but they don’t necessarily have good combinations!

2026-01-16 02:31:35 +0000 UTCYou know, seeings how many times the people in his group have seen and participated in Noah's bullshit shenanigans in the past, I think if he does something that is along the lines of more of the same, but at a whole other level, like, you know, super bullshitting, along with using Spider as his name, if the tournament announces participants names before they fight, that might be more than enough to get all his people's attention to show he, at least, is there. Oooo!! Can't wait to find out!! (Squirming in my seat in excitement!!!) Also, Noah's ability to be able to use the Line to teleport/travel to wherever he wants, like he did in the beyond, in the clothes shop when avoiding the hand and when he left the place the Mistress had him in that he was able to leave when he shouldn't have been able to, makes me think if there is the possibility of him doing the same thing with the Line. To use it to teleport into the holding rooms to look for the rest of the others. Even though it would take a lot of time to do that and he would definitely run the risk of teleporting into holding rooms with participants who are higher ranked than him who could easily kill him, which would leave his naked body behind and leave him incapable of using his runes for a long enough time that he could be called on to fight before he recovers his connection to his runes to enable him to use them again. You know, I can so see that as a possible scenario occuring. Where, for whatever reason, Noah dies, Regenerates a new body, gets called on to fight before he gets his connection to his runes back, and ends up having to fight without them. If that scenario does end up happening during the tournament, I am going to, metaphorically, shit myself!! I absolutely love extropolating about possible events and scenarios that could happen and what the characters might be doing or are going to do later in the book. And I especially love it to pieces when I've managed to guess some part right and get on cloud nine if most or all of my guesses/theories turn out being accurate. Waiting for the next chapter to be posted from an author that is writing a book I am thoroughly enjoying reading each chapter of as it is posted, really brings home what it feels like to experience what that adage "hurry up and wait" really feels like for cops and military personnel when they have to deal with it.

I also think that Noah will probably get to Rank 6 at some point during the tournament and probably get some runes along the way to even climb up within Rank 6. Perfidy (dressing up your vehicle as if it were a commoner one rather than a military one) is another. I think the employ of chemical weapons is one more. Executing prisoners of war is one. I'm reminded of Killua's second exam to become a hunter, in Hunter x Hunter. Of the hundred candidates, fifty were given scrolls. To pass the exam, you had to have two scrolls at the end. Killua collected all scrolls. I think Noah's about to kill everyone but himself in the arena.
