2026-01-14 11:07:50 +0000 UTCThank you for the chapter! "Vivian slipped back further in her chair" I think this might read better as "leaned back" or "slumped back", slipped back makes me think her posterior is getting deeper into the chair, not towards the edge. "That, at least(,) had limited the actual damage" "The Church was out in full force enforcing law" reads awkwardly, maybe "out in strength" to avoid the double 'force'. "Let the Mistress deal with it" probably reads better as "Let Mistress deal with it", since that is her name and not her title? “Do you have anything else to report?” onwards reads oddly. We already know she has a meeting, and we already know that she will be busy with that meeting. The Executioner, being so senior, is also surely aware, since this is unlikely to be their first tournament (which is confirmed in later dialogue). The reminder about not being interrupted is new information for the reader, but unlikely new information for the Exec, and would probably be phrased differently. "Vivian’s lips thinned. “Of me?”" I'm unclear why she would think the rumours would be about her. If this is explained in previous chapters and I've just missed it, no worries. "But there is one matter that you asked me to observe that has changed." this is a second thing, the rumours being the first, in ref to the earlier line “There is only one thing,”. "The Apostle’s Prophet was (an) arrogant bastard" "“But I do not believe they are( )coming"

2026-01-14 09:05:13 +0000 UTCI would half expect Viviane to be challenfed, and instead of heads protecting the tournament, they would turn that fight into main spectacle in order to gauge her fighting power. As mentioned, her political power may be considerably weaker, pushing her to accept the unfavorable duel. An all out foght would be detrimental, a specific duel? Yeah, some heads would be at least contenplating it.

2026-01-14 02:51:33 +0000 UTCTYFTC! Oooh, I just had a thought - one thing Mordred mentioned was the needed power to create 7 Rank 7 runes strong enough to make a Rank 8, and with Sunder Noah has a major cheat code that no one else does. For him, as long as he doesn't permanently kill himself, he will be able to keep growing and tearing runes apart to put together perfect runes, and as he gains power he will stop aging so time is decidedly on his side. I think the Prophet and the other Rank 8s are going to be very scared once he hits Rank 7 and also has his own Divine Rune plus all of his Master Runes too.

2026-01-14 02:41:36 +0000 UTCI think the thing with the peaches was possible as it was simple, didn't interfere with another god's designs, and Noah was in line of sight/already a point of interest. And Renewal's Prophet could infer from that that Renewal had some kind of interest in "that weird guy from Arbalest" and that it was probably positive. So, she already knows to leave him alone or rather help him and/or find out what's his deal. We know that gods are limited to short messages and that Renewal's followers can be quite fanatic about the interpretation. "Find him who took of my power." => Do everything to find the heathen who dared to take from the goddess.

2026-01-13 20:28:10 +0000 UTCPlease don't reset people, it's not healthy, even Noah has realized that.

2026-01-13 20:19:01 +0000 UTCI had to think of the German Kaiser who had his tea brewed with vodka instead of water...

2026-01-13 20:12:52 +0000 UTCI am really, really,REALLY curious to know the gods limitations. Because if she can send a dumbass message like "I like peaches, tell Noah", you would think she could warn her to leave him alone. She doesn't sound like a sadistic bitch..,so what gives?

2026-01-13 19:48:31 +0000 UTCThis chapter reminded me that I can’t wait to see Revin again. He was formerly an apostle? And he also bit Decras once (like Lee) I believe ?

2026-01-13 19:02:02 +0000 UTCDid you mean to write "more forces at force at this tournament"? I would expect forces at work.

2026-01-13 18:11:38 +0000 UTCWhen I got the notification, I half thought it was gonna be an explanation for why we wouldn't be getting one today or about a future delay or somethin.

2026-01-13 17:23:18 +0000 UTCOh all the brackets are gonna turn into mayhem and havoc, the students one, Alex one, when he probably creates a divine run mid battle . Also the upper ranks, where the loyal apostle will bring death and destruction

2026-01-13 17:21:26 +0000 UTCOoh the babypostles come out to play, and this time Noah is stronger than they ever wished to be

2026-01-13 16:59:16 +0000 UTCTwo prophets. One of Renewal (Vivian) and one of Decras (unnamed character). The latter has been mentioned several times by Garina and the Apostles.

2026-01-13 16:45:27 +0000 UTCAndrew Denton found the first small mistake in this chapter but after that one there are, like maybe, two to three more after that. Can't pinpoint exactly where after that first mistake. They're small mistakes, so if you decide to go back through the chapter, just start paying closer attention to the words and grammar after that first mistake. Sorry I couldn't be any more precise than that. But, other than that this was a good chapter. The only thing that confused me was that I thought there was only one character in this series with the title of Prophet and that was Vivian. IDK, maybe my memory is faulty, which is a distinct possibility, but I don't remember the Apostles having a leader sharing the same title as Vivian. Let alone having an actual leader that proceeds over those Apostles that make up their orders leadership. So, am I having a memory fart about this or what?

2026-01-13 16:36:58 +0000 UTCThe suspense is killing me! But in a good way. Lol thank you for the chapter. I really want to see the gang back together, but at the same time I want to savour them reuniting.

2026-01-13 16:35:53 +0000 UTCHmm and the Apostles Prophet is not the prophet. Someone carved out his soul and sat in its place if I remember right

2026-01-13 16:18:59 +0000 UTCHa! I can't wait to see this! And it occurs to me that the Mistress might have seeded Aqua Terra with undesirables with badges in order to act as a sort of crime-sink. "Murders are going to happen; let's aim them."
Andrew Denton
2026-01-13 16:11:39 +0000 UTCAnd that explains the involvement of the two disciples (forgot their names). Oh, this is going to be a shitshow. Can’t wait.
