Noah is to be ascending to godhood at Rank 6. I think his team/crew will have a lot of Rank 5s and Rank 6s at that point, too. According to Decras and Renewal he will be strong enough to protect his people from the upcoming disaster (which I assume is the Rank 8 stampede) when he reaches Rank 6 and achieves divinity

Therefore, she's likely counting on some outside help - Noah completely undermining The Mistress's power/authority seems to have led her to suspect that there's another larger power in play... This may cause her to step down with her plans - As we have already seen before, Noah WILL ascend to godhood at Rank 6. And when he does, it'll likely be with Flawless Runes and he'd be far more powerful. Decras and Renewal, and even Yoru, think it's important that Noah attain godhood before the end of this tournament. They think that's the only way he's strong enough to protect his crew when war breaks out. - This means there is definitely going to be a devastatory move of the kind Mordred is talking about now, and Noah's being at a similar (enough) power level when that happens, will shift the balance of power towards whomever he is judged to have aligned with - In all of this, Sievan, hinted to be the absolute peak of Rank 8, seems to be a friend of Vivian's. Would he just stand by and watch if a war breaks out, now that Noah has got the appreciation of life back into him? What would happen to the balance of power if Sievan, Vivian, and Noah are seen to be "on the same side"? Thinking about it this way, I suspect he actually may just watch. That being said... the narrative can't have a god fighting mortals in a tournament, so I suspect he'll be Rank 5 for a good while more. And he'll only achieve Rank 6 shortly before disaster strikes. And it will likely happen during the tournament, in plain sight of all onlookers. He will have to be pushed to some limit where he decides "to hell with it, I'm merging those Runes now!" I can't wait to get there!

I wonder what will happen when he builds his Rank 6 Rune and starts developing his own, divine rune or grows the rune he got in the Beyond....

2026-01-13 10:37:38 +0000 UTCI think Noah and students might become a new faction, with backing from the Prophet (Renewal) and the Apostles (Decras), or he might be lumped together/claimed as an agent by the Prophet. "Spider" (Noah or Yoru) has moved through the Empire with impudence, so when he becomes too prominent, the Prophet either has to show weakness or feign strength by officially claiming Noah as an agent. And Renewal as well as Decras are quite certain that Noah will create a Rank 6 Divine Rune. That could be one reason why Yoru creates a legend, if faith energy is a thing. And once Noah has a Divine Rune, Mascot will get (partially) reconstituted and might immediately appear near/on Noah. And as Mascot was an Avatar of Renewal, the Prophet's goddess... And we all can be certain that Grim already has all components necessary for Noah to reach Rank 6. Whereas the Prophet's runes, were she to die, wouldn't help Noah much. He might be on a path of Chaos and Order, but the Prophet has only Runes on the Order side, so he could get a full Rank at best if he could pilfer her runes.

Hoping this doesn’t happen again with aqua terra. And rank 8’s fighting over it. Damn Noah hurry up and get stronger! Rest of the team too. His faction / students will be unstoppable when they all reach upper levels. All of them rank 6s and 7s? (six seven lol) with Noah maybe rank 8? With flawless runes?! 2026-01-12 18:59:53 +0000 UTCAnd we find out just how valuable and invaluable Grim the grimoire is when it comes to the job for which it was created and not destroyed at some point after when all the problems it's owners would have to put up with in order to utilize it, were discovered. And the potential long term help it can render in creating/building even higher ranked runes consistently over a long period of time for its owner and anyone the owner wants to help. Grim is definitely a double edged sword object with its job for which it was created for with the problems its owners would have to put up with in order to use it. Add in the Sunder rune with Grim and it just emphasizes how much of a lucky bastard Noah has been in managing to stumble upon the possibly two best tools that anyone with even a small modicum of sense would have that have the greatest and best potential use in speeding up the process of collecting and creating flawless runes at every rank. Actus has built the world around his characters and especially around Noah to be pulling the bullshit coincidence card waaaay to heavily!! If this world were real and I was Noah, I'd be questioning my unbelievably good fortune at managing to aquire two tools that make creating flawless runes consistently and speeding up ranking up look like something is working real hard at helping Noah get as powerful as possible, as fast as possible.

Curious if he’s going to be heaped into Sievan’s side or be a new factional figurehead (representing Arbalest survivors, the backwaters that served as a controlled environment separate from the established continent) after making a divine rune. This would be a proper uprooting and table-flipping of established Order and quite Chaotic for our man :) His insights from the Line and his recognitions of patterns using music and teaching have probably gotten him closer to enlightenment than the Prophet. He just needs the same resources these factions are fighting over, hence Yoru’s prudence. If there’s a scramble or the Prophet dies, I can see Grim absorbing all the leftovers for Noah to properly ascend. He just needs to meditate on his formations and merges during the tournament.

2026-01-12 16:57:16 +0000 UTCOkay. I think I know what Yoru saw! There’s going to be a fight being the faction heads and to save everyone, Noah needs to be a god to stop it. Noah’s going to make a divine rune (by accident) during his rank 6 transition and possible save everyone. This is total theory. But I think the symphony rune and the beyond will help him make a divine rune. Either way Noah and the gang are coming up against some heavy hitters.
