Now some bad news... I think Patreon is too big for it's own good.
Not sure if they emailed you folks about the recent changes, but I believe they expect creators to inform everyone on their platform about these changes.
By law Patreon has to add sales taxes to all pledges. Effective July 1st. You can read about it here
it's a long boring article and the rules seem like a mess. Based on the article, I'm doing what I can on my part to reduce the tax % and/or grant exemptions.
I'll keep an eye out for an alternative platform once I find one.
There's Pixiv Fanbox but I'll have to test the waters and read into it.

I will look into when I've got some free time, I'm just curious how accommodating it is for people outside Japan

2020-05-21 02:07:13 +0000 UTCI follow some creators on pixiv fan box and it makes no difference to me. Probably better on pixiv cuz Patreon seems to be a bit sensitive to 18+ stuff
