I added Dyke's name in my comment from the last episode. We just met him in Episode 6 (or maybe the end of Ep 5 before they went into the woods)

2024-11-24 13:20:24 +0000 UTCIt's always so jarring to me that the episode starts on my birthday (Jan 2). The scene with Guarnere and Toye, makes me cry every single time. Joe just repeating "I gotta get up, I need my helmet, I gotta get up" breaks me EVERY TIME. To see a man, desperately trying to will himself to move a leg that is no longer there is so shocking. I also LOVE that they manage to keep small moments of humor in the show, especially during heartbreaking or terrifying scenes like that. This show is a fucking MASTERPIECE. Spiers' run through Foy is a REAL THING that happened. They shortened it for the show because they didn't think anyone would believe them that he had run as far as he did (half a mile there and then came back), but it did happen in real life...it was just even more badass. Ronald Spiers was a certified legend.
