Yes, it's small moments like that really show how deep down he is a good person and he does care, even if he doesn't want to show it. It's like he sacrifices showing this side of him or having any real connections because he truly does hate what he's become, James doesn't want anyone to like Sawyer even though he is what he's become and he punishing himself as well. I find it so sad.

It's nice to see him showing up and participating in the funeral and building the raft but then when Jack fell over after the locke encounter he's the first one to scream to get him water and try to help him even though they somewhat hate each other. He's still a dick but he's making more of an effort.

2023-09-24 07:50:05 +0000 UTCI think you may have forgotten that we have seen some of Sayid's backstory, it's been awhile though. It was when he was being tortured by Danielle, the french woman, in that we learned about his relationship when Nadia and now we know she is alive and well. I love this episode, the scenes with Charlie, Sawyer and the baby are so cute. Another small moment where you see a different side to Sawyer and it really shows how far he's come to being a part of the group, not just a loner. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love Sayid, easily top 3 of my favorite characters. Yes, he really is the human lie detector and he's such a badass, lol. And now we know what he was doing before the plane crashed. It's so tragic, they used him and yet tried to help his friend, how terrifying would that whole scenario be and it showed his true character too by staying behind and claiming his body to honor him. And yet if he hadn't and went when he was originally supposed to he wouldn't have ended up on the island. I love scenes with Sayid and Locke, I think they have such great chemistry and work off one another so well. I love when he's interrogating him, it also shows how good Sayid is when he calls him out on the gun, not even the audience knew he kept it. Yes we saw him and Boone find it but he never put it in his pocket or anything so it was a nice surprise, I almost forgot that's where he got it from, lol. I love your Lost reactions! Can't wait for the season finale!
