Heartstopper | 2x3 'Promise'

It’s so hard seeing Nick really struggling and Tao when he was talking to Charlie was heartbreaking. I usually agree with his movie opinion but he’s wrong about Moonrise Kingdom. It’s my second favorite Wes Anderson movie and a great summer movie. The music from that worked great in the scene too.

Great advice! I'm bi too and only a couple of people in my life know and none of my immediate family do. They're against all LGBT+ stuff. But I've never really felt the pressure to come out to them, it's not fun to hide it but I don't owe them anything either. I just live my life. And I'm constantly trying to educate them and change their minds on things, no luck so far but I hope one day I'll get through to them and then I can tell them. But if I never do then it's not a huge deal to me. And as for strangers, just like you I'll never tell anyone unless I'm specifically questioned about my sexuality. 👌

Nick and Charlie truly melt my heart. Their relationship is the sort of relationship everyone dreams of I think. The way they support each other and listen to each other is really special, especially because so many teenage couples on TV have issues with communication. With Tao and Elle, I have to say that I felt Elle was a bit out of line here. If someone changed their hair and their clothes and then took me on a date doing something I love even though it's not their favourite thing to do I'd be SO flattered. I'd think "wow, this person really must like me." By changing himself before the date, Tao wasn't becoming a different person, he was putting in effort and showing that he really likes Elle a lot. I wish she would've seen that. 😭 I am definitely feeling the vibes between Issac and James, there seems to be a spark there. I'll be interested to see where that goes. I also sense chemistry between Mr Farouk and Mr Ajayi, so I'm hoping they get together. But maybe I'm clowning on that one lol. I only watched the first few episodes on my own, I'm waiting to watch the rest with you. I find it more fun watching shows like this with someone else. 😂 I look forward to episode 3. 😊

Yeah, you never owe anyone to come out. When I came out as bisexual, I told my parents at first and that was it. Then my best friend. That was enough for a while. Then as my little brother got older, I told him and other family members. But it IS exhausting to do it all the time, it gets tedious so I stopped doing it and just kept on with my life. If anyone asks, of course I will proudly say it. But note to anyone who struggles with this: do it at your pace, do it only if you feel safe about it, and if you don't ever want to do it, then don't. It is your life!

Oh, poor Tao! You're just trying way too hard to impress a girl who already really likes you! Elle is right. He was trying to be a different person, but he's also right (not as right, though). She's been pushing him away. We really see Tao's insecurities surface in this episode and it just breaks my heart 😭On another note, Mr. Farouk is hilarious, especially seeing him paired with Mr. Ajayi. He's really good at yelling "Quiet!" 🤣🤣🤣I definitely feel like Tori when I went to parties like that in the past. I'm just like, "I'm gonna go in this sort-of quiet corner and enjoy this drink." I love the rugby coach being so supportive of Nick, especially in a sport that's so traditionally (and, at times, toxically) masculine. Charlie is being very supportive and I'm glad he stood up to Harry 😊
