Eliot gives us here 'Magic doesn't come from talent, it comes from pain.' line which always resonated with me. I really like here that he does his best trying to support Quentin in his own way even sharing some of his backstory. Without Julia around Quentin desperately needs friends. And with Alice being very stand-offish and Penny a straight up asshole Quentin really has the worst luck here. Julia gets to play in Pete's fucked-up escape room and meet Marina. Kacey Rohl who plays Marina here was also in Hannibal a few years earlier, and really needs to get hired more. She always radiates great on-screen energy in my opinion.
